Stacey and Ryan SOG 8/1/09 Updated 3/27 Hawaii Day 2

Thanks everyone. I'm so excited about having Randy!

I am also finishing the contract for our harp player. She will be at the ceremony. I am thinking about having my cousin's friend sing and play the guitar during our cocktail hour. I thought it would be nice to change things up a bit.

This is just a quick update because I haven't done anything new for the wedding. FCAT (our state's standardized test) is coming up in a couple weeks and I'm starting to stress a bit. It's a big deal in third grade because pretty much if they don't pass, they don't get to move on to fourth grade (unless they pass summer school). It is too much stress for my students and I spend a lot of time calming them down and telling the it's going to be fine!! Too much stress for an 8 year old if you ask me!

My mom teaches fifth grade in Virginia so I totally relate to the stress you are going through. Every year my mom is soo stressed out at SOL time (standards of learning, yes it's a poor choice for an acronym and it was introduced when I was in high school, so that was a fun time :rotfl: ) I bow down to you and the fact that you have time to plan a wedding! :worship:

Ryan's mom just came back from the Philippines and got some stuff for our wedding. She got some greenish/sage sashes for our chair covers. They are beautiful. She also got some gorgeous fans that we are going to hand out before the ceremony. They were all hand painted in the Philippines and she had them write "Stacey and Ryan 8-1-2009 on the back. I left them at my mom's but I will take a pic and post later this week. They are all different colors but they are all beautiful. Now, it makes me excited to have an outdoor ceremony so they can be used!

That sounds so cool! So are you convinced that you want to keep it outside now?

YAY! Thank you for joining. It's almost like having a celebrity on my PJ!! I read your whole PJ and TR but was always a lurker! Thanks for coming over.

I'm glad you liked Randy, I loved your pictures! I'm so excited about having him as our photographer!

That's so nice of you, but really I would never have had the wedding I had without the help of Disney brides who came before me :goodvibes I'm so happy to pass along info and advice to the next set of Disney brides :bride: Looking forward to reading more popcorn::

That is awesome about the fans, I cant wait to see them... isn't it funny how one thing can make you forget about all the worries you had about August heat... Everything happens for a reason, it is meant to be now Stacey, I really beleive that!

I cant wait to see the pics and I love the personalization on them, such a memorable touch.:goodvibes

ooh i bet those sashes will look lovely - i have started to see lots of sage colours around and it reminds me of you and your wedding! I think its a lovely colour. Those fans will be great too- and being personalised i bet they look beautiful, your guests will love them, a lovely keepsake and really special. That was nice of Ryans mum.

I cant wait to see photos!

Hope you have a great time when your uncle comes to visit you tomorrow! Do you have anything planned? I hope he brings you loads of sweetie and choccy goodies! :cool1:

I'm glad to hear you think of me just by looking at sage! I feel special. It was nice of ryan's mom. I'm surprised how involved she is being. I always got the impression she didn't like me, but she has been amazing! Not long til you come right? Is it too late for you to pick me up an egg (or two, one for Addison?) I would totally meet you at Disney and I can pay you then, (I don't think the money would get to england in time if I sent it now)

I wouldn't say 100% convinced, 99.5% maybe... I'm still thinking it will be hot with fans, but it's only 30 minutes. I'm so indecisive.

That's so nice of you, but really I would never have had the wedding I had without the help of Disney brides who came before me :goodvibes I'm so happy to pass along info and advice to the next set of Disney brides :bride: Looking forward to reading more popcorn::

Well, your wedding was gorgeous. I showed my mom a pic of your bouquet because I loved it. I can't decide what I want!

That worry about the August heat has slowly crept back into the back of my head... I keep having flash backs to working at the top of Astro Orbiter in summer in my hot tomorrowland costume... =(

I will try to get some pics soon!

i cant find any milky bar eggs - they sold out when i was looking at my supermarket last night - i am more than happy to send you the milky bar buttons and the milky bar bars - i can send them in the post to you so they get there soon? Just let me know and ill send them out in the post to you tomorrow- just pm me your address - i sent Samantha a package today of sweeties - i love sending out some sweeties love - so its no problem for me to send in post!

My mom and I attended a wedding show today in Orlando. It was at the Royal Plaza hotel near Downtown Disney! It was a ton of fun! Korri (at least I think that was her name) from DFTW did a presentation during lunch! They had a drawing for Disney honeymoon bags, but I didn't win one! =(

But today gave me inspiration to get moving on my wedding plans. I have been slacking. I'm sending in my deposit for Rev. Tim Herring this week. It was a tough choice, but I think DF likes him the best. We got to meet the DJ that my dad has been speaking with at the show today. He seems very nice and he ran the fashion show part and was pretty good. So, my dad is going to send a deposit on him also.

I'm still debating on a photographer. We are on a very tight budget as I have previously mentioned. My dad found a photographer who is just starting out. He is a great price. We are going to meet with him in 2 weeks or so to take some engagement shots to see if we like him. I fell in love with the pictures he has already sent me, but he said we can get together and take some shots and if I like them and book him we can keep the engagement shots. If not, not a big deal. I will let you all know how that goes! Our other choice is a family friend of Ryan's. She has been taking their family photos for years. Not quite sure on her as of now though...

I had my hair and make up done at the show by Valencia (spa on wheels) or something like that. She was very nice and I was impressed. Does anyone know anything about her?

Well, that is all for now! =) Have a great week everyone!

How was the show???

Love the colors you chose by the way!

I can get milky bars here. I'm just looking for the big chocolate easter eggs for Easter. I'd like to give Addison one for Easter. Milky Bars are my weak point though. they sell them at Wal Mart and I'm always tempted to get one! I might take a trip up to the English store in Orlando and see if they have any easter eggs, they are normally expensive though! Thanks for the offer of mailing me some milky bars! You are so thoughtful!!!!

The show was good! Very interesting. It made me realize how much I have to do still. I'm so far behind. I can't believe how close it is and how little I have done. You girls on here make me look like a noncreative slacker!

oooh sorry! i thought you meant you was looking for milky bar in general and possibly the easter egg. hehe - the thing is, all the easter eggs were being put on the shelf at the beginning of this month- way too prematurly- and suddenly the prices dropped, and you could get a small/medium size egg box for £1 in some supermarkets, so then everyone stocked up -and the shelves are being stocked up- but they seem to be the expensive thorntons chocolate ones that are like £14! i think the supermakets must have had a limited stock of the cadbury buttons ect and nestle milky bar 7 smarties egg boxes for £1 and they have sold out soo fast- i am still keeping an eye out for you! I still have 5 days!

Did your uncle not bring you ANY chocolate?!! :scared1: heheehee

She is 20 months now. She will be 2 June 20. I can't believe how fast she is growing. It feels like just yesterday she would lay there and do nothing. Now she is non stop, and I mean non stop!!!! From the second she wakes up to the time I put her down, she is always moving and doing something.

GUESS WHAT!!!! My Uncle Colin got me a Creme Egg Easter Egg!!!!! I'm so excited. And he got Addison a milky bar one! Thanks for offering though!! That was so sweet of you!

awww yay!! Well you know me- if you needed them i would have got them to you! If you ever need any UK sweetie love then just let me know and they'll be in the post!

And again- Addison IS so cute- she is like a model baby! My little sister is 2 in April and she is learning words ''yes'' ''no'' ''buscuit'' ''crisp'' ''choc chocs'' ''bad girl'' ''good girl''.. its sooo funny- she tries to copy what you are saying and its a load of blah blah! Sometimes she will just walk around talking in her own little language-and acts like she knows what she is talking about- its too funny - they are at a great age - the cute funny age! Can Addison talk, or say a few words? I bet it would be great to have a mum who is a teacher (as well as a former worker of Disney) - she will be blessed with brains too!

Stacey- did you used to live in the UK? Are you British or American? I am only asking as i want to ask anyone who has moved from UK to USA about the process and how it went for them?

I love how all our PJ's have turned into what kind of candy and sweets we all like lol!!!!:lmao: :lmao: ! It makes me hungry and happy all at the same time!
I have the best idea!! We should open an international candy shop in Orlando!! How much fun would that be!!:rotfl2: We could eat sweets all day, I would love it!

You're so sweet! Thanks for offering to send stuff over! Addison does say a lot. Some of her favorite words are bird, fish (for the goldfish crackers), mama, dada, nanny, grandad, and her new favorite is Addison. She can say There she is, and what is that. She also has her own little language that she walks around speaking. She likes to play with her toy kitchen and she talks to herself while playing. It is a funny and great age. I think she is smart, but I think she gets more of that from her dad, just a little from me!

I lived in England til I was 8. But my dad is American (he was in the Air Force) and my mom is english, so I have duel citizenship. My Aunt and Uncle along with my Nan have moved over, so if you have specific questions you can send me a PM and I will ask them. I think my uncle who is still over in England is going through the process now. Good luck with that! If you do end up moving over, we could go to Disney every weekend!

That would be fun! We could open it at DTD so we are submersed in the Disney culture!!!!
