Stacey and Ryan SOG 8/1/09 Updated 3/27 Hawaii Day 2

I loved your pictures- you can see so much happiness in them!! Such a beautiful wedding- I've never seen so much of SOG before- it's a perfect location!! :goodvibes

Thank you for the wonderful comments! I loved SOG! It was perfect for us, a great price also!

we will be waiting patiently :surfweb:

I'm trying to move faster! I never realized how much work TR's are! I know have more appreciation for everyone who has ever written one! Hopefully I can get an update out tonight.

:thumbsup2 Wedding Pictures. I am so glad that you share those with us. You made a lovely bride! So I noticed the stickers multiplied on you during your shirt during the bachlorette party. Do you have a story behind that?
Well I am going to go check out your TR.

My son started 4th grade this year and he his overwhelmed. I hope your jump back into school goes smoother then his.

Thank you! There isn't really a story behind the stickers. My mom and aunts arrived before we did and when we walked through the lobby of the boardwalk the DVC guy asked if we were with the English women that arrived earlier. I said yes and he said he rolled one of my aunts up with stickers. They weren't for anything special though!

Sorry your son is overwhelmed. I think every year after 3rd grade is a shock for students. It just gets harder and harder every year! The start of this year has been crazy for me also! I have a tough class this year! Thanks for asking!! Tell your son, to try his best and to believe in himself. That is what I tell my kids all the time. Your attitude can really make or break you sometimes! Things will settle down soon!:scared1:

Friday July 31, 2009

Since I didn’t pay for my cake the previous day, I had to get up and go take care of that. I also had to pick up the guys’ vests from Men’s Wearhouse by the Millenia Mall. So Kim and I woke up around 9:00 and quickly got ready and headed out. Once again, it was heavy traffic and it felt like it took forever to get anywhere. I don’t know if I mentioned this in my first part, but Publix made me come in to verify it was my card and when I got there, they didn’t even check my ID! I was so mad! So much for me coming in so you can verify it. On the way back we grabbed chick-fil-a to take back to our room (Kim’s mom and friend were there waiting for us).

We didn’t get back until after 12:30 and that was when I realized I was running late!! I had to be at the Grand Floridian at 1:45 for my afternoon tea. I still had to eat, get dressed, and go pick up Addison from the Bonnet Creek resort. I called Ryan and he wasn’t busy so he took Addison to the Grand Floridian to meet us, which saved a lot of time!

My Afternoon tea was a blast. All my aunts met us there and we had a real good time. We decided to only do scones and tea and then the Mrs. Potts Tea for the little kids. If you are looking for a way to save money, this is a great way. We only paid around $200 for 18 people. It was cheaper than buying the set teas. We also requested our scones without the raisin things, and they did it for us! I love scones, but like them plain and these were perfect!

At the end the server brought out the Cinderella Chocolate slipper. I was in heaven. I loved it and wanted to cry. I’m so glad my mom read about it on here! Thanks mom! The server also gave me a card and a rose. It was a perfect afternoon and a moment that I will always remember! Here are some pictures.

It was a wonderful afternoon. But now we had to head back to the hotel and get ready for the rehearsal. I was hoping the rain would clear up… To be continued…

The wedding pics are beautiful! Addison is adorable, too cute in her matching dress! My favorite pic is the one of your DH, I think it must be when he is seeing you walk down the aisle, you can see he's tearing up a little.

SOG is beautiful! I've never been there before, I really like the pics in the rocky courtyard.

The tea party looks like so much fun! I definitely want to do this with my girls. Can't wait to hear more!

Tea looks like it was so much fun! I think I've decided that I want to do that one of the days before the wedding. I haven't ever done it before and what better time to do it? I generally like to avoid doing the same thing as everyone else but I just can't resist.

That is so cool of your mom for getting you the slipper. The chocolate mousse in yours looked way better than the stuff we had at our tasting. Probably because ours was kept in a cooler up until right before we ate it and yours looks fresh.

I did hop over and read your Cruise TR I just never got a chance to comment. Did you hear that the Wonder is going to Alaska in 2011? Jeff and I can't wait! We've been wanting to go to Alaska for quite some time.

Your pictures are gorgeous, a beautiful wedding. The tea party looks like so much fun and Addison is a doll. That was sweet of your mom to do the slipper.

Your tea looks so fun. I keep going back and forth if to have one or not. You may have swayed me.

That picture of Addison with the strawberry is awesome.

And how sweet that you mom got you the slipper.

Can't wait to read more!

I've been lurking your PJ for a while, since we are planning our wedding at Shades of Green in the Gazebo as well. Thank you for including such beautiful photos of your wedding! You've given us some ideas for photo locations, in addition to helping us see a setup for a SoG Gazebo wedding.

Congratulations to you and your beautiful family!

Thank you! The tea was a lot of fun. It was one of the highlights of the weekend! I love SOG, I had never been before I started planning our wedding and when I went, I just fell in love with it! There is plenty more to come!

I did hear about Alaska! Very exciting! I don't think we will make it out there then. Ryan will be in residency by then and no telling where we will be or if he will be able to get vacation. I would love to, but it's probably going to be pricey also. The tea was fun. You should do it for sure! It might be cliche but it was a blast and everyone really enjoyed it!

Thanks! Addison was hilarious at the tea, she had a lot of fun. I loved the slipper, I'm so glad my mom did that for me. Everyone was jealous!

Thank you! It was very sweet of my mom. And tea was a blast! You have to do it. We weren't going to do it because it was kind of expensive and it wasn't in our budget. But like I said the Grand Floridian worked with us and arranged it so we just had scones and tea and it was very reasonable in price! It was a moment I will always remember!

Thank you very much! You must be so excited about your wedding!!!! It's coming up soon! Do you have a PJ? You're going to love SOG. They did a wonderful job with everything and my day was PERFECT! Stay tuned, I have a lot more coming!

Friday July 31, 2009- Rehearsal and Rehearsal dinner

So, after tea we headed back to SOG to get ready for the rehearsal. It was still raining and we had to move our rehearsal inside. I had a feeling that was a good thing because by the looks of it our wedding was going to end up inside. I don’t know why we didn’t get any pictures of this. I’m sure someone out there took pictures, but I can’t find any.
Well, our rehearsal was scheduled for 5:30 and there was another rehearsal at 6:00 so we only had thirty minutes (it would have been more if we were outside). And of course, Ryan and his family were late! Let’s just say for the first 15 minutes of rehearsal my uncle was Ryan and my aunt was Ryan’s brother (best man). After they finally made it we finished up the rehearsal. I wasn’t too concerned about it anyway. I’m very much a go with the flow kind of person so whatever happens is fine with me!
After the rehearsal we went and changed for dinner. Ryan’s parents hosted our rehearsal dinner in their timeshare over at Boggy Creek. They had a bunch of Filipino food catered and it was delicious.
Ryan also made sideshows of our lives. I know it’s cliché, but it was one of my favorite parts.
I’m not going to write too much about this part, but I just wanted to post some pictures and say that it was a very enjoyable evening. The company was great, the food was delicious, and the alcohol was flowing (not that Ryan and I drank any of it). Here are some pictures.

You can see the food and desserts in these pictures

Here is the best shot I could find of the place. It was a three bedroom and we had about 60 people there. We were all spread out in the bedrooms and on the balcony also.

Here is Addison and one of Ryan’s cousin’s daughters. Here name is Diana and I think she is adorable! Very quiet and shy!

The rehearsal dinner was a lot of fun. Afterward Kim and I went back to our room and got our pajamas on. I read some of Breaking Dawn (which I started on the cruise) but couldn’t really concentrate. I was too excited. And then around 11:00 I realized I never got a garter! Yes, you heard right! I forgot to get a garter. AND I didn’t have my something new something borrowed something blue whatever that saying is. Man, can you tell I’m a SLACKER!? I called my mom and we decided to run to wal mart. So it’s almost midnight, Kim, my mom and I hop in to the car and drive to Wal Mart. I was out of luck, they didn’t have any. Kim’s mom called while we were there (oops, she could of joined us if we would of known she was up) and offers to go buy a garter in the morning. I don’t know what I would have done without Pam (Kim’s mom) She was an enormous help the whole weekend (more to come on her helpfulness)

We eventually made it back to the hotel. It didn’t take me long to fall asleep and I actually got to sleep in a bit. Addison stayed with my mom and dad this night, so I didn’t have to wake up with her (trust me, I enjoy these mornings and they are few and far between).

NEXT UP: THE BIG DAY!!! Maybe I will post tonight…

The Rehearsal sounds like fun, what a great idea to have it in the timeshare and have food catered! Can't wait to hear more, you should definitely post tonight! =)

Your rehersal get together looks like so much fun.

Now I'm hungry. I used to date a Filipino guy, and I don't miss him so much... but his mother's cooking on the other hand :lmao: Your spread looks delicious!

Can't wait to hear about the big day!

I really loved looking at your tea pictures. It was one of my favorite parts of my wedding weekend too. Wow, I'm impressed that you were able to get 60 people in for your rehearsal dinner. Did you end up using it like a welcome party too? It looks like everyone had a lot of fun and the food sounds delicious. Love the pictures with the bride and groom ears :thumbsup2

Thanks! It was a good idea. I wasn't too thrilled about the idea at first, but it turned out nice. More relaxed and more representative of Ryan and me!

Thank you!!! :goodvibes I guess you could say it doubled as a welcome party also! It was just a fun time and the food was delicious! I loved your tea pictures as well! It is a lot of fun and I highly recommend doing it for any future bride considering it!:thumbsup2

August 1, 2009- Getting Ready for our Big Moment!

I slept very well and Kim and I woke up around 9:00. I called my mom to see if Addison was up and to see if they wanted to go to breakfast. For some reason, I don’t remember where my dad or anyone else was, but my mom, Kim, Addison and I went down to the buffet to eat breakfast. I’ve heard stories of people not being able to eat on their wedding day because of nerves. Well, not me. I ate quite a bit. This buffet was wonderful. They had waffle makers so you could make your own waffles and one of them was a Mickey! It was a delicious breakfast, and very reasonably priced!

Here we are at breakfast.

wd1.jpg

After breakfast we decided to walk out to the gazebo. Between the bachelorette party, the tea, and a rained out rehearsal, Kim had never been out there so we wanted to show her!

On the way, I found this and insisted on taking a picture!

wd2.jpg

Here we are at the gazebo.

wd3.jpg

wd4.jpg

On the way back we found this huge guy! Kim was very amused and had to take a picture.

wd5.jpg

We then spotted two more in the tree mating!!! We decided it was a sign of good luck!

wd6.jpg

Addison was getting tired at this point so my mom took her to her room to take a nap because Patricia would be arriving before Addison would probably be up. I was so excited to meet Patricia. And get this, I am the queen of procrastinating and not being organized. I never printed a picture of the hairstyle I wanted. Hmmm… I need to work on that, no garter, no plan for hair… but after all the great stuff I have heard about Patricia, I wasn’t stressed at all. I knew that no matter what, she would do an amazing job with my hair.

Here are our before pictures.

wd7.jpg

wd8.jpg

wd9.jpg

wd12.jpg

wd10.jpg

I have to say Patricia is AMAZING! I’m so glad I went with her. She is so sweet and nice. Very easy to talk to and everyone loved her! She started with Mel’s hair and then did Kim’s. This whole time I was on the phone trying to find the picture of the hair I wanted, or at least one that was similar. When it was my turn, I hadn’t found it yet, so she just did the curling part and started my makeup.

Here I am…

wd11.jpg

Here is Mel getting her makeup done after me. You can see me in the back on the phone trying to find a hairstyle.

wd13.jpg

Somewhere in this time Randy Chapman showed up. Yet again, another wonderful person to work with! He came in and just started snapping away. When I got my pictures I was amazed at how many he had taken. Here are a few he took while we were getting ready.

After Randy took a few pictures in our room, he went to meet Ryan and the boys in the lobby for pictures. Here are some of those.

He also took some pictures of Addison but I don’t remember when he took them. I don’t even remember when we put her dress on. That part was a blur. But I have a ton of pictures of Addison, so here are a few…

wd27.jpg

wd55.jpg

While they were getting their pictures taken Patricia finished up everyone else’s hair and I still hadn’t found my picture. I just told her I trusted her and to do as she wishes. To be honest with you, I’m a very easy going person and I knew I would love whatever she did with it (which I did).

Here I am getting my hair finished.

wd14.jpg

And here is the finished product of all of us

wd58.jpg

I highly recommend Patricia. She honestly was amazing. I loved my hair and makeup and all of my bridesmaids loved theirs. She did exactly what we asked and she was super sweet. The next part seemed like a whirlwind…

After taking pictures of the boys, Randy came back to our room to follow us out to our “holding area” Well, it took us a while to leave. Here is everything that went on between me finishing my hair and us actually leaving.

I was talking on the phone to someone. I have no clue who, I don’t even remember doing this and I don’t remember Randy taking pictures of it!

wd20.jpg

I posed for a reflection picture, don’t remember doing this either, but it must have been on the way to put my dress on.

wd19.jpg

Here are my bodyguards outside my door (haha, my uncles are hilarious. I didn’t even know they had done this until I saw the picture on my cousin’s facebook page a few days ago!)

wd37.jpg

I’m finally in my dress and once again I have no idea who I am on the phone with…

wd47.jpg

wd48.jpg

Here is four generations! I love my mom and Nan a bunch and was glad to have them with me on my special day…

wd38.jpg

Patricia taught Kim how to take my veil off

wd39.jpg

Then my mom pretended to put it on, which I found silly…

wd40.jpg

wd49.jpg

wd50.jpg

I pretended to pin my dad’s boutenniere on, once again I felt silly…

wd53.jpg

I love this following picture, had to throw it in here, don’t know when it was taken

wd46.jpg

Here is Kim trying to put my garter on… and Addison trying to help

wd51.jpg

wd52.jpg

Then someone asked me why I don’t have any jewelry on. I explain I don’t wear jewelry and Kim offers earrings anyway. I haven’t worn earrings in years so I tried to put them in, and then my mom tried and I eventually gave up and went without jewelry. I told you, I’m plain and easy going…

wd57.jpg

wd56.jpg

Here is my mom putting my sixpence in my shoe. It’s an English tradition that you are supposed to wear one from the year you were born and apparently they didn’t make them that year, so my was from 63 instead of 83.

wd54.jpg

Audra came and told us we need to start leaving and where she wanted us to go and wait. You can see her in the background of this shot.

wd41.jpg

We’re almost ready to go… just have to pose for a few more pictures…

wd59.jpg

wd60.jpg

Here is a cute one of Addison… what is she doing you might ask?

wd61.jpg

Why, she is dumping all of her flower petals in to the closet! Of course! Jordan comes to the rescue and helps her pick them up.

wd62.jpg

We finally make it in to the hallway. Addison was ready to go she is way down the hallway already

wd63.jpg

Slowly making our way. It was a long walk!

wd64.jpg

wd64.jpg

Let’s stop and take some pictures here

wd66.jpg

Addison came to see what I was looking at. These are some of my favorites

wd67.jpg

wd68.jpg

One more of Kim

wd69.jpg

And we FINALLY make it to our holding area

wd70.jpg

wd71.jpg

This is where I’m stopping for tonight. Next UP: THE CEREMONY!

Your pictures are beautiful! Your hair looked wonderful, even if you did not have a picture.

Really amazing photos Stacey! You looked soo lovely. Everyone did! I cant wait to see more!

Oh and Addison putting the petals in the closet... haha! bless her!

Congratulations! Your pics look great so far! I am so excited that you had a great experience with these vendors!

By the way- I love that Addison practiced her job in the closet! :goodvibes
