We will have our points(BWV) in the DVC system probably by Monday 12/17. What are the chances of getting a boardwalk view in late August(19-25)? I know 11 month window has passed but our closing took longer than anyone expected. We don't care if we get a 1 bedroom or a studio. Just wondering our chances. Thanks for any advice you may have.

The good news is that you are still outside the 7 month window and late August gets slower. If a Boardwalk view isn't available when you call, get a preferred view room and waitlist for the Boardwalk view room. It might come through if one isn't already available.

Besides the good info from HBC, 1 bedrooms are the easiest to book. I think that you will get this reservation. Good luck! BW view rooms are THE BEST!!

Can I ask why the BV rooms are so great? We've stayed there several times and I have always requested a non-BV room because of the noise! I would rather be ON the Boardwalk than looking at it from my room?!?! Is there something I am missing????

I think the view of the boardwalk and the water really is special. We're kind of with you though... we don't really care about the view at BWV.... We would prefer to have a quiet room and make our way to the real noise at WDW by foot. It is the direct attachment to Epcot that we really enjoy. Nothing like walking over to Epcot (or back).

To each his own, I guess, and thank goodness! We love watching the activity in the morning as the BW comes to life. And we love just sitting and people watching during the day. At night I love falling asleep as I see the lighted Spaceship Earth across the lake. We are not bothered by the noise since we keep the balcony doors closed. Different strokes for different folks means that DVC has something to offer for everyone!

The Boardwalk view is a premium view. When you can look out your window and see Spaceship Earth across Crescent Lake, it is very impressive. We usually get either a standard view or a Boardwalk view when we stay at the BWV (will have a Boardwalk view next week) and have never been bothered by noise, even on New Year's eve.

Last Aug 5th -10th we were able to get a BWV ( 1 bedroom ) at approx 8 months out.Good luck,but I think you'll be fine

I guess with small kids, we've just always wanted to stay away from the noise as much as possible! I always forget that not everyone who comes to Disney have children! Silly me! We finally got out stay at the BCV this past Christmas and LOVED it. Although, it was way to chilly to enjoy the pool, we did all venture down the water slide a few times, just to say we did it! We will try again for closer to the summer when the weather is a little warmer.

I'm with you on this one, Kerri. It's probably the main reason we have no desire to stay at the BW, too noisy for us and too much going on. The exact reason many people love it. We prefer the BCV for the Epcot DVC villas since it is set back and very quiet.
