1) Is there a tender in St Marteen or does the ship dock in Philisburg?

2) How far is Philisburg shopping are from the "ship"?

we docked on the pier - no tender was needed.

You can walk, but it would take you probably a half hour or so. You can walk a couple hundred yards and catch the water taxi. It is five bucks i think for all day. This will take you directly to the shopping area if i remember correctly...
