St. Marteen Excursions?

I was just wondering if in st marteen, if the golden eagle catameran or pinel island snorkel tour would be better. These are the to tours that we have narrowed our choices down to and would like some advice.

we very much enjoyed the golden eagle last summer and plan on doing it again this summer. the crew is very attentive, the boat is clean and they over indulge you with rum punch, beers and champagne and serve sandwhiches on the way back to the ship. i highly recommend it.

I personaly have not done either, we did the Orient Beach day, but....A family we sailed with did the Pinel island tour and was not greatly impressed with it. On the other hand I have read posts from quite a few familys who have done the Golden Eagle excursion and loved it. Do keep in mind that I have only heard from one family that did the Pinel Island tour. Hope this helps some.

Heck no, what fun would that be?

Seriously, the Golden Eagle holds a lot of people. I have not done it myself, but there appears to be over 50 people on each sailing and they look like they have had a great time. The folks that I've talked to who have done this excursion really really love it. I'm considering it for the next time we go to St. Maarten.

I agree with Tigger53...DH and I did the Golden Eagle 2 yrs ago when we were celebrating our anniversary, and plan on doing it again this summer. They asked if anybody was celebrating anything special. When we said it was our anniversary (the day we were on the Golden Eagle was our actual anniversary) they gave us a bottle of champagne to bring back with us. That was enough for my husband to want to do it again!
But really, the crew was fantastic, the island that we sailed to was WONDERFUL, and there was open bar, music, food, and dancing on the way back. As a music teacher, food, music, and dancing are all I need to be happy (ok, add the sunshine, water, and my husband, all of which were there). It was a fabulous excursion, and I highly recommend it.

Pinel is fun for a few hours, but nothing wonderful, Golden Eagle is a great choice, as are the Rhino's!

We did the Golden Eagle last week--myself, dh, ds9, ds 5, and our friends with their dd9--and it was a lot of fun. The only disappointment for us, which they couldn't have done a thing about, was that the seas were too rough to go to the usual island; we went to a beach on St. Maarten that was lovely but which had small but very powerful waves, meaning the kids really couldn't play in the water's edge. That also made getting from the boat to shore and back again a bit tricky. Still, I'd probably do it again; I think the diversion was an unusual circumstance.

OK, I'm going to try this question on this post as well. Has anyone done the Lotterie Farm Hidden Forest Tour? We've decided to do a "non-beach" thing, and DS is only 8 which keeps him off Rhino riders and mountain bikes.

The few reviews I've found using Google are pretty good if you like the hiking/eco type thing...but has anyone done this with Disney? I understand the food at the Hidden Forest Cafe is some of the best on the island.

Anyone? Bueller?

I have done some hiking at Loterie Farm on our own, before it became the place it is today. It was right after the hurricanes that uneartherd the place!! It was pretty then, I bet its incredible now. Here is a website that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't!!
