St Augustine or Daytona

I'm driving from Georgia and want to stop at a beach for half a day before continuing on to Disney. Have you ever been to St Augustine Beach or Daytona Beach? Which would you recommend? Any tips? Thanks!

Both are great. I prefer St. Augustine because it is a little more calm and quiet. There is a little more to do around DB, and it is more "lively".

Of course from DB to WDW is a straighter shot, which is good in case you get a burn.

Cocoa Beach is in between both types and you can zip across to WDW on 528, but that's a toll road.
