I arrive Sept 27th. While I am anxious to go, I have not really "planned" out my trip. I think when my summer slows down a bit I may be able to look at it but really I have a couple of things up in the air that may play in to what I do when. :rolleyes1

Well, as we both get closer, I will post a FINAL park day plan and hopefully, if nothing else, we'll be at the same park one day and can at least say hello.

Great zoo pics. Can;t wait to show the girls. Cayley sleeps with "Baby Tiger" and me with "Mr Bear". Both u have great pics of. Of course Jeff and G'Pa are represented by the gorillas :rotfl2: Cute hat pic of mark-sad about the elephants.

These guys weren't satisfied with just turning their backs on you were they! :lmao:

So no trip anywhere is complete without at least one hat picture:

Had to have a picture with an "elephant"

We had a great day "practicing" all of our walking and "hat trying" on for our Disney trip.

The next day of our September trip coming up soon.

:cheer2: Yay for hat pictures!

I hope when you are there in September it's cooler making this "practice heat" unnecessary.

Loved all the pix of the Zoo!!Got a kick outta the BUTT pix !!:rotfl2:Dan and I will be stopping at Cleveland Zoo on our way to Cedar Point in September !!!Which reminds me I have a ton of planning to do with 3 trips coming up plus Judy's NYC one !!:scared1:

Now I want to go to the zoo! It's been 100+ for about 3/4 of all the days over the past two months though, just stifflingly hot, not sure how long I could last walking around the zoo.

Our elephants were gone for about 2 years while they built them a new home at our zoo, we sure missed them, but the end result is fabulous, the elephants have so much more room.

Glad to see you worked in a little time for trying on hats, you can never have too much practice there :thumbsup2

your hubs is such a good sport! I love all of his hat pics! I think this year I will get hat pics as well, seems to be my kids fav thing to do while in stores!

Love all of the pics too, I think it's great that you guys took a day for yourselves! His umping schedule is kind of ridiculous!

The things we'll do in the name of Disney:lmao:

Great zoo update, looks like fun, practicing for Disney! I'll have to mention that to my DH, I've been wanting to go back to the Bronx Zoo for a while, maybe we can do that in August sometime!

I love the giraffe pics, they are my favorite too! :lovestruc

Looks like you had a great day at the Zoo, awesome pics. Loving all the bear ones, v cute :)

I can certaily sympathize with the heat! For the last week, our temperature was in the high 90's but week before that it was always 100 or above. We went 50 something days without rain and 20 something days with temps over 100.

The zoo pictures are great and I'm sure you guys were happy to get to spend some time together since Mark's been so busy umping. I wish our zoo was nice....it's in a not so nice part of town and the exhibts are looking tired and worn down.

I hate that Mark didn't get to see the elephants. I know he was looking forward to it.

The zoo looks like so much fun! I like getting memberships to places like that; they usually pay for themselves really quickly and then you can go without even thinking about it too much. Great hat pictures, too. :goodvibes

What a fun day at the zoo! I think becoming members is such a neat thing. (and pretty cost efficient too):thumbsup2 Great pictures!!

Always have to have at least one "butt" pic! We have never been to the Cleveland Zoo, but we have been to Cedar Point (LOTS of roller coasters there).

Hah, I love the Disney practice! It has been ridiculous this past week!

I love hot weather, but htis has been crazy.

What is weird is they had just redone the elephant outside habitat; but with the cold winters in Chicago, it's probably a good thing to improve the indoor habitat.

I love going to the zoo. :)

Jenn, hat pictures can be so much fun because they are so spur of the moment.

Thanks, Jen. Yes, you need to get Brandon to take you to the zoo.

Looks like you had a great day at the Zoo, awesome pics. Loving all the bear ones, v cute :)

Thanks, Stefy. Aren't those bears so cute. :goodvibes

We are very lucky and have two really nice zoos. I think we were in Cincinnati or somewhere, and the zoo was not very good. The Jacksonville, Florida Zoo was great when we went in April.

It was a nice day with my hubby.

Thank you, Tina. I'm glad we did the membership because for sure we'll go back several times within the one year of the membership.

What a fun day at the zoo! I think becoming members is such a neat thing. (and pretty cost efficient too):thumbsup2 Great pictures!!

Thank you, Ann. We haven't been a member since Andy was probably about 8 because the boys got so involved in sports and it was a year-round thing that we weren't able to go as much as wanted.

Looks like you have an amazing zoo! Great pics. Looks like it was lots of fun practice for Disney.

Hopefully by the end of Sept it won't be as humid as it is now. We went to the MK on Thursday and as soon as I got out of the car at the TTC I was sweating!

VERY humid this week!! Monday at Epcot wasn't so bad Tink, but the rest of the week got worse! At the meet last night, we were all sweating soooo bad!! But, Lightning McQueen at DHS in the LMA stunt show was really cool!!!

Kat, we LOVE zoos, I have heard that the north was alot hotter than we are down here. So, I hope ya'll are staying cool somehow!!!

It looks like you have a fabulous zoo. We just had a baby elephant a few weeks agop. Here's a picture for Mark. Not great ,because the little guy sleeps most of the day.

I wrote a review on Cedar Point recently. If you want to read it, you can find it here.

It is a great park, but as i have gotten older I am not longer a thrill seeker and prefer Disney much more.

I'm hoping for temps like last September at Disney and Marco. :)

I normally don't mind the heat/humidity, but it has just been brutal the last week. We are going to be in the low/mid 80's the beginning of this week so it should be a little better.

Thanks for the pic, Jen. I'll be sure to show it to Mark when he gets home (he's still umpping baseball).

Andy informed us tonight that it is 80% he will be joining us for a few days. The job thing is NOT looking good for at least the first semester. So he's NOT booking any private lessons for baseball and looking at joining us from September 27 - October 1. However, if a job does come up last minute, he won't go with us. He's started looking into air fares for his flights (he'll fly into Orlando and home from Ft. Myers). He'll obviously stay with us (we'll pay the extra for a third adult in the room) and buy his tickets and pay for his food out of pocket (he can't get on the dining plan because he would have to be on the same package with us and he won't be there that long).

I am sorry the job market is not so good for him right now. I am though excited we will get to meet him!! Will he go to MNSSHP??? Girls will be very excited too!!
