Those two days look like they will be awesome. Everything from the dinning to what you plan to do. Not too busy... but filled with enough stuff to have quite a good time.:goodvibes :thumbsup2

Thanks, Ann. I promised Mark we'd stay within the resort as much as possible and just chill these two days.

Great plans set for your first couple days at Disney :goodvibes

Thanks, Shannon. I'm so pumped for AKL.

Today is my baby's 23rd birthday. I don't see HOW this is possible when I'm only 39!!!!

Happy Birthday, Markie

Okay, updated Day 3 plans

Sunday, September 25

Up at 6 a.m. and showered and luggage back in the car
Drive to CSR to check in and get Key cards with tickets on them
Go to the Magic Kingdom and stroll along Main Street
Check in at the Crystal Palace for our 9:05 am breakfast with Miss Avery and
Miss Cayley and the rest of their family (we had planned on doing this at
8:05 but couldn't get a ressie that early and it works out better as the little
urchins will need a little sleep in the morning after having arrived from
AZ the day before and swimming with Mr. Mark)

We will stay at the Magic Kingdom until around 1:00
Mark and I will head back to the CSR and hopefully have our room ready and
he will swim while I unpack and then I'll meet him at the pool to share
something to eat at the pool
We will then head back to the Magic Kingdom around 5:30 and stay for
Extra Magic Hours; we'll have dinner either at Cosmic Rays or Columbia
Harbor House

Super plans!! :thumbsup2 Okay I knew you were staying at Kidani but my short term memory escaped me about the one bedroom. ;) You will LOVE the bathroom!! It is enormous and ahhh the bathroom tile :cloud9:
I really liked my dinner at RR. This last trip was my first time there and the food was really good and enjoyed the dancing too :) I don't recall what I had...hmmmm wonder why? :rotfl: I know I had a lot of fish on this trip for whatever reason :confused3 Oh yeah I had fish and chips :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday to your son!! :goodvibes

Happy Birthday Markie!!party:

Oh Kathy, that is such a beautiful picture of you and your Markie!:goodvibes And you're right, how can he be 23 when you're in your latter 30's??;) Time has been very good to you Kat! He definitely has your smile, doesn't he. He's a handsome one!

Crystal Palace is always a good choice!:thumbsup2 How fun that you get spend that meal with Mary's girls too. Experiencing MK with little ones is so precious!:goodvibes

Your afternoon plans sound very relaxing (or as Glenn would say, relapsing;)). Are you not eating lunch this day? I noticed you didn't mention plans.

Sounds like you'll be having a great time at the MK later that evening. We weren't huge fans of Cosmic Ray's but I'd love to try Columbia Harbor House sometime, it seems to get good reviews here.

Ack! I just saw below that I missed an update last night too regarding your day one and two plans! Ok, here's my thoughts:

Oh how I  a good, warm Krispy Kreme donut! Of course they're in the past now since I have to eat gluten free. Still, they're scrumptious. I never knew that they give you a free one when you go inside, pure marketing genius! Stopping to get some for the room is a perfect idea.

Your plans look great! I love the look of the AKL, even though I've never stayed there. Good idea to keep it low key. We made a conscious effort last trip to really slow down and spend more time at our resort. Ok, that was DH's idea actually, but I agreed to it! Swimming and sitting by the pool has such a lovely effect on vacation, doesn't it? I think it forces you to unwind.:thumbsup2

Love the plans!! You guys are going to have a great time!!!!

Happy Birthday to your baby!!! Love the picture!!!!

Have a great holiday weekend!!!

Lovin' all your plans so far, although I haven't read any of them since I got to the part about Krispy Kreme doughnuts!!!! You lost me at that point..... :rolleyes1

Happy Birthday to your son!

We are checking on the same day too! I don't know if we'll check-in that early, but we are going to check-in by 8 and pick up my parents who are checking-in Friday. We are hitting Epcot that morning, returing to the hotel in the afternoon to swim and unpack too and then heading back for EMH at the MK. Eventually I'll start a pre-trip report with photos of me and my munchkins. I would definitely love to say hello if we cross paths, which is likely since we'll both be there all week. I have benefited greatly from your insight and posts!

We are not going to get sick of you. If anything it will be the other way around :) You are going to :love:Kidani. And be totally spoiled by the 1bd. When we first stayed there in Dec, I stood on the patio looking at my giraffes and cried. it was so amazing!! The girls are very excited about swimming. Hurray fro CP bkfst. We will be staying at MK all day and having dinner with Steph at LTT. I wish it was sooner. I am having major withdrawls.

Happy Birthday to Markie!!

Tracy, Thanks for the birthday wishes for my son. :)

Yes, I was really excited when she told us we had a one-bedroom...I am so excited.

I'm thinking I'll be having the fish and chips myself when we go to Raglan (Mark's already eyeing the "Pie in the Sky" -- chicken and wild mushroom pie served with a rocket lettuce salad

Thanks, Molly for the birthday wishes. He is a handsome devil, isn't he (get rid of the earrings though PLEASE!).

I'm really looking forward to CP with the girls and watching them with the characters; espcecially Cayley who was afraid of Tigger but now is not! :thumbsup2

See, we like both -- Cosmic Rays and Columbia Harbor House. But we did Columbia Harbor House last year and I like to switch off between the two (not a fan of Pecos Bills at all).

I think that our days at AKL are going to give us the energy we need for the "urchins" and other DIS kids we will be meeting.

Love the plans!! You guys are going to have a great time!!!!

Happy Birthday to your baby!!! Love the picture!!!!

Have a great holiday weekend!!!

Thanks, Jen. Hard to believe I have two boys now in their early/mid 20's. :scared1:

Hope you have a great weekend too!

Hey, that was mean!!!! I'm seriously crushed. ;)

MOLLY...MARV is picking on me again!

Krispy Kreme doughnuts!:love::love: How I miss not having them in Chicago.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. We would be delighted to meet you at the pool. Let me know when you start your PTR and I will join in. I'll have my KatMark bag on at the parks and probably at the pool. We usually grab a chair right in front of the bar (can't think of a better place and it's convenient for getting my pina colada's :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:).

Happy Birthday to Markie!!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, friend.

We would NEVER get sick of you or the kiddos (just so I don't have to carry a sleeping one this time ;)). Wait until I get the rest of the days posted and you see how much time we are having together. Maybe they ought to start calling us "adopted grandma and grandpa" (and NO comments from you, Marv!) :lmao::lmao:

You haven't HAD Pina Coladas until you've had one of Marv's Pina Coladas!!!!!

Hey, don't be crackin' on Mark like that!!! :confused3

Happy Birthday to your son Mark! :flower3:

Love your Disney Days!!! You will LOVE the one bedroom! They are :cloud9:

Did I read Krispy Kreme in your planning somewhere? Oh, I love to inspire people to ...................... eat! :rotfl2: (Hope they still have some after WE leave! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:)

Hey, that was mean!!!! I'm seriously crushed. ;)

MOLLY...MARV is picking on me again!

Don't worry Kat, I'm here!:thumbsup2

Oh Marv, shush. Honestly, why are you causing trouble here when you have your contest results to tally up Mister!:headache: And at least Kathy does regular updates on her thread. You just might learn a thing or two from her.:teacher:

BTW, Kathy looks fabulous and is an extremely sweet, friendly, caring, lovely 39 year old woman . Why would you poke fun at her? She's never done that to you, has she? I know for a fact that she's been an absolute saint on your thread. I think. Well, pretty much.:rolleyes1

Happy Birthday to Markie!!! you look great to have a son who's 23!!!:worship::worship:

love your plans to take it easy! we loved staying at AKL, we stayed at Jambo out on the Arusha Aavanna, Zebra trail right across from a watering hole, I loved having my coffee everymorning on the balcony, we had so many animals each morning (my AKL days are still 3 disney updates away, so you'll have to wait popcorn:: to see my favorite animal)

how fun for you to have little one's to "play" with on your trip!!

have a great weekend!!

Happy Birthday Markie!!

And Kathy, you look Marvelous!! Could it be that as Markie has aged, the years has come off you?? :goodvibes

And, like others, forgot you were staying in a one bedroom! Awesome! AKL is on my list to stay at one day. Nice that you plan on taking it easy and really enjoy the resort.

Krispy Crème, so good, but so bad, KWIM?? We had one along 81 in NY on the way to my Mom’s, we like to stop so the kids could watch the donuts travel the conveyor belt. And of course, pick up a dozen.

Everything sounds wonderful, nice that it is working out for your DISmeets and the time with Mary and the family.

Janet

I think I am all caught up again!

Happy Birthday 23rd to Markie!!

I have never been to a Krispy Kreme donut store, but we use to go to a church service in a movie theater that served Krispy Kreme donuts and Star Bucks Coffee!!! Glazed cream filled is my favorite kind of Krispy Kreme! What is yours?

I don't know if you know twirlergirl or not, but she stayed at Kidani village recently and was impressed at how large their 1 br suite was!

We love Mara! Have you eaten there before? You've probably had these before at Boma, but their chicken corn chowder and the butternut squash soup is really good!! Grumpy likes the African stew. Anakin loves their pizza flat breads. Some day I hope to be brave enough to try their Falafel pita and get couscous instead of french fries, lol. Their sundried tomato humus is good too.

I hope you enjoy Earl as much as we do! I'm sitting here now eating my left over half of tuna melt. It's just as good cold out of the refrig as it was served warm!! They had my favorite Wisonsin Chedder Soup last night!! That's the 2nd time now, I've hit it right. It might be their Thursday soup?

we'll have dinner either at Cosmic Rays or Columbia
Harbor House

If you are a fan of sweet tea, don't forget that Columbia Harbour House has it!! I tend to forget this and end up with soda that I don't really care for!

I am hooked on the green beans at Cosmic Rays. As a side it's only $1.89! Silly me ate it as a snack on Wednesday afternoon.

Happy Birthday Markie!

Love the plans...you can't go wrong with a little Waffle House
