Hello everyone! I'm back at SSR for our fall trip. We left home yesterday morning around 6am. It was 48 degrees. We stayed in Jacksonville last night and got into Orlando around 10am--it was 88 degrees...quite a change! We wasted some time at one of the outlet malls and then made our way to our traditional first stop--Wetzel's Pretzels. I opted for an original flavor pretzel today although the cinnamon one looked really good.

After that it was time to check in at SSR. There was a huge group in the lobby when we arrived around 11:30am. I thought maybe they were awaiting my arrival and wanted autographs, but my friend Koala pointed out the big busses out front--they were leaving for a cruise. So much for my ego. Our dedicated 2BR was ready and we headed to the Paddock. The room is in great shape.

After a trip to Wal Mart to get some food and beverages, we're back at SSR to wait for my Grandparents to arrive. They should get in around 5:30. I think the plan is to head to Earl of Sandwich for dinner and then take advantage of EMH at MK. It was a long day of driving yesterday and I'm not sure I can convince everyone to stay out until 1am, but I sure will try.

We're here until Saturday, my Grandparents are heading out Thursday morning. Mom and Dad are taking me and Koala to MNSSHP again this year. We're planning on going on Friday and I have an awesome costume this year! You'll just have to wait to see it!

I will post pictures once we're out an about. More later!

Sounds like a fun time!!! I can't wait to see your pics!!

What are you gonna have at EOS? sounds yummy right now!

SSRMonkey I hope you have a wonderful trip. I am looking forward to your pictures and report. I can't wait to see your new costume. Have fun! :goodvibes

Your reports are always so entertaining, can't wait to read about your adventures this week! Are you going to check out the new pool?!?

Looking forward to hear how much fun you are having. Have a great time!

Yae!!! a new trip report from SSR monkey!! My youngest was asking for a trip report for you so i will be sure to clue him in and keep him updated!! Can't wait for your adventures and to see your costume.

I had the best ham and cheese sandwich tonight at Earl. Probably the best one since my last Earl sandwich. Just before we left for dinner I discovered that I had missed the opening of a new bakery in DTD. I have no idea how I missed a cupcake store of all things. I really wanted a frosting shot, but mom said no. And then she got one for herself. What?!? She said I'd already had too much sugar today. I only drank 5 Red Bulls today. A side note--Red Bull does NOT give you wings. I found that out the hard way.

After dinner we went on the great butter hunt. Have to have butter to fill the nooks and crannies of my english muffins. We were successful in our quest and even found mini sticks of butter. I was tempted to steal pats of butter from one of the restaurants, but my conscience kicked in--and I don't want our dues to go up.

Then it was off to MK. Dad decided we should take the bus. The timing worked out very well on the way there and on the way back, but next time we plan to drive. Too many weird things can happen on the bus--especially in the dark.

When we arrived at MK I felt like it was Christmas time. There were wall to wall people lined up for the parade. We finally got through the crowd and headed over to Pirates. Koala immediately found a keg of gunpowder.

Then he put it to good use.

I put in a bid on a pirate wench, but some guy in the boat in front of us outbid me at the last minute. Just like eBay. I need to work on my bidding skills.

DSC02936.jpg

Then we went to Haunted Mansion. I like the new hitchhiking ghosts at the end.

We saw Mickey's Philharmagic. As we walked out, Wishes was starting. Perfect timing.

DSC02942.jpg

Koala wished that we could get out of there...he's a little sensitive to booming noises since my Salute to America on our last trip.

Then we went to Pooh. Why can't they make the honey walls taste like honey? I licked every single one of them and all they tasted like was dirty hands...not that I've tasted dirty hands before.

The Laugh Floor was awesome tonight. I think it was the best LF experience ever. Not only did Mom and Dad get on the big screen at the beginning, but Sam and Ella were hilarious and Buddy Boyle said "Shake it like a Polaroid picture". Some of you will understand that reference. And then, Marty used my Mom's joke!!!! It was great.

We decided it was time to head back to SSR. We stopped for a big rice krispie treat and then went back to the bus.

Tomorrow morning we're headed to Epcot.

kikiq-I'm sure there will be new tshirts. I just haven't done enough shopping yet.

DizGirl20-I plan to check out the pool. I won't be swimming though. Too many lifeguards and too much wet monkey smell.

nolanboys-We are going to the party on Friday. You'll have to wait and see what my costume is, but I am excited!

YAY! I can't wait for another SSR Monkey Trip Report. Love it.:goodvibes

Yay another trip. Make sure you show us the new Tshirt I am sure Mom is gonna get you. Say hi to Koala for me.

Today has been an excellent day so far. I tried something new this morning--coffee, or as I like to call it Black Bull. Like Red Bull, but black.

We started out at Epcot this morning. We ran into Stitch first. He and Koala had a lot to talk about. Somehow I think they are related. Do you see the resemblance?

We headed over to TT and walked right on. We didn't even have to watch the video! It was awesome. Although I enjoy TT much more at night, I think this was one of the best day time rides. We got up to 64.7 MPH!

Then Mom went to get FP for Soarin while Dad, Koala and I took Grandma and Grandpa to see Nemo. I narrowly avoided the jellyfish this time.

DSC02967.jpg

There was a lot of activity going on in the aquariums today. We saw a 'cuba diver (thanks Ralphie May).

DSC02972.jpg

We also saw a big turtle getting fed by one of the 'cuba divers. Once the turtle started to eat, the diver put a mesh box over his head. I wonder if that was to keep the other turtles from eating his lunch. I might need one of those for my cat...

We took a spin through the Land and saw some pretty lily pads.

Then it was time for a ride with Figgy. Koala got a little carried away in the part where things are downside up. Mom had to give him a hand.

DSC02988.jpg

We skipped Captain EO--Commander Bob wasn't giving any gifts today--and thought it was about time for lunch. After a quick trip to Club Cool we headed over to Beaches and Cream. We didn't get the kitchen sink, but the strawberry shortcake was delicious.

We stopped in at Canada and found some Beaver Butt soap. This will come in very handy the next time I try to play Survivor Man. Those beavers won't know what hit them!

DSC02990.jpg

I tried on a new hat.

DSC02991.jpg

I was really hoping to find a t shirt that says, "Canada, America's Hat."

We had fun at the new pool at the Paddock. It's very nice and the slide looks awesome. My aunt (who is a scientist) was supposed to mail me a hazmat suit for swimming in the pool (because of the wet monkey smell), but I didn't get it in time. Maybe next trip I will be allowed to ride on the slide.

Now we are off to a new Italian place for some dinner. I think we're going back to a park tonight, but I'm not sure where. I'll keep you posted.

Love your trip reports!! I'm sitting on the couch laughing out loud. My husband thinks I'm losing it.

After some rain this afternoon, it turned into a really nice night. I had deep dish pizza (with about 10 pounds of cheese) for dinner which was very good. On the way back we passed a Chinese buffet. Grandpa said that they serve Dragon Milk there. You know, milk from cows with short legs. Hahaha. I think I'll try that one in the next Laugh Floor experience.

Then we headed back to Epcot. I went with Mom and Grandpa to Soarin' while Dad and Grandma went to Spaceship Earth. We had FP to Soarin' from earlier in the day, so we got in quickly. It was awesome as usual. The only disappointing part was that they were out of orange scent. Hopefully the next time they will have refilled the canister. Or I'll just bring some orange Fanta and sniff that instead.

We went to meet Dad and Grandma at TT. The wait time said 40 minutes, but it was only about a 10 minute wait. During the video inside, some lady said, "Wow. I bet these people get tired of saying the same thing all day long." Really?!?! You don't think it might be a video?? I guess, then, Michael Jackson is still alive and performing approximately every 20 minutes as Captain EO. Alert the tabloids immediately!

By the time we were finished at TT, we thought we should get a spot for Illuminations. We have never stayed by the lagoon and watched. It was very cool. I'm just glad I wasn't over by Canada--I would have gotten smoked out.

It was a long day so now it's time for bed. Tomorrow we're going to DHS in the morning and are going to try to catch Fantasmic tomorrow night.

Thanks for the laughs.
I hope Koala stays out of trouble!

It's another hot one today. Only 88 but it feels about 100. I'm glad to be back inside!

We started the morning at DHS. We got there right after rope drop and Dad went to get FP for Toy Story. We met back up at the Great Movie Ride. The ride seemed shorter this time. Maybe it was because we didn't have to wait long to get in. Koala got scared when he saw all the snakes. Ever since I made him watch Snakes on a Plane, he's had a bit of an aversion to slithery things. I got up close and personal with one of the Munchkins. I thought he was giving me the eye--turns out he just had a lazy eye. Oops.

After that we went over to Muppet Vision. I did a little hanging around while we were waiting.

DSC03013.jpg

I was excited for the show to start.

DSC03014.jpg

And Koala got a chance to play with the Yell and Howl Projector. He's been practicing both and has gotten pretty good at it. Now he wants a projector for home. I don't think that's a good idea.

DSC03015.jpg

I especially enjoyed the Department of Artificial Reality. Or did I?

DSC03011.jpg

The theme of artificial reality kept up through the morning. I did NOT wear a tutu. Or did I? (And no, I'm not going to MNSSHP as Minnie Mouse.)

DSC03019.jpg

Reality set back in when Dale started taunting me in my tutu. I decided to put him in his place. Noogies for all!

DSC03020.jpg

Koala didn't want to get involved and took cover. So much for having my back.

DSC03017.jpg

After "the incident", we went over to TSM to use our FP. Koala had time for a short flight. He likes to pretend he's Iceman from Top Gun. He forgot his aviators this time though.

DSC03024.jpg

After a great round of TSM, I thought I deserved an award.

DSC03016.jpg

Dad and Grandpa went to ride Rockin Roller Coaster while Mom and Grandma wandered through some shops and found a place to rest in the shade.

Then it was time for lunch and a bit of shopping. I bought Mom some pumped up kicks for Christmas. These are some pretty awesome Crocs--she will be excited!

DSC03025.jpg

Tonight we are heading back to DHS for another TSM ride and then to see Fantasmic. I hope we get in this time!

Always the best trip reports. Wish I could see WDW they way Monkey does!!:goodvibes

It was another fun evening. After a great spaghetti dinner at the Olive Garden, we headed back over to DHS. We got to TSM and a huge group had just gotten into the FP line ahead of us. Luckily, when we got the to front of the line, since we were two groups of two we got in the really fast line. Dad got his all-time best score and Mom finally got the cat prize at the end.
The timing worked out very well because we wanted to get to Fantasmic early to get good seats.

We got there in plenty of time and got seated. Mom and Dad got a new app on their phone called Fruit Ninja so that kept me and Koala busy until the show started. Note--I am not a paid spokesperson for Apple, iTunes, the AppStore or Fruit Ninja, but I'm open to offers.

We tried to take some pictures but most of them didn't turn out too well. I was very excited to see Mickey dressed in his very best--who doesn't look good in a tuxedo? (I'm sure there are a couple people.) Koala got pretty scared when the snake came out (remember his aversion to slithery things). (Sorry for the terrible picture, but you get the idea.)

DSC03046.jpg

It was also nice to see Steamboat Willie.

DSC03057.jpg

Tomorrow I am going to find a helmet and ask a cast member about Disney's plan in case the satellite crashes here. We know they have hurricane and tornado plans, I wonder how well-prepared they are for space junk.

After my quick call to FEMA to check on the satellite situation, we're heading to AK for the morning and then probably to MK in the evening.
