We are booked in a 1 bedroom at SSR and would like to be close to the main building for quick access to the pool/quick service for my toddler, but I also need to minimize the time we spent on the buses because my older daughter is prone to motion sickness if she rides too long. What section do you think we should request?

The Springs is the last of the internal stops for theme park buses. During busy travel times, the bus could be very crowded by the time it reaches the Springs stop. If you stay in the Springs, you might want to get off at the Grandstand and walk back to your room when returning from the theme parks.

The Springs is also the closest section to the Carriage House (check-in, resort store, main dining area) and the main pool.

We will be there March 11-18, so I expect it to be pretty busy. How long would the walk be from Grandstand bus stop to Carriage House?

grandstand, first bus stop so are sure to get a seat and first drop off point after the parks. has its own pool, snack stand and mug refill station. about a 5-6 minute walk to the main building

The only problem with that is , they'll be on the bus for a minimum 1/2 hr... I believe they wanted the least amount of time on the bus....

We stayed in that section last January, it was not nearly that long of a bus ride before leaving the resort, maybe 15 minutes at the most, and the bus was full by the time it reached the last stop each time, infact once it totally skipped the last stop because it was full.

The Springs would be best for the pool area and eating, the problem is the bus journey coming back from the parks as it's the last stop. You could always get off at Grandstand and walk back. Have you thought about staying at one of the other resorts where you can walk to the parks use the monorail?

When we stayed at SSR in June, the MK bus would often be completely full first thing in the morning by the time the bus arrived at the Springs. They often didn't stop at the Springs if another MK bus was coming up behind them. Other times the driver would stop to tell that there was room for 1 or 2 people only and then let them know the time frame for the next MK bus, which was usually less than a 5 minutes wait. This only happened for the MK buses. Based on the extra buses Disney was doing a good job to make sure guests reached MK in a timely manner.
