SSR - what's the longest we'll have to walk to get to the bus/pool?

We are of course going to request a great location (any recommendations?...family of 12, mostly adults with a 7 y/o DD and a 4 y/o DS, staying in 4 separate 1BR villas), but I'm wondering what time frames we should plan on if we end up somewhere else. We'll be there in August and don't want to be sweating buckets before we even make it to the bus!
Thanks!

Hmmm. I am trying to think - it really depends where you are.

It seems to me that almost anywhere is pretty close for the bus - a lot of stops thru out the resort.

Pools can be a longer walk, esp. if your crowd is determined to go to a certain pool.

As for room requests, we have been making them since SSR first opened, and never gotten one. We have never pushed it with them at check in however. We have found that rooms that seem to be on the very edge even have bus stops, etc close by.

Since each section has a bus stop, the walks in each section are similar. One of our stays at Paddock, we were actually closer to the Congress Park bus stop and walked over to that one instead.

The longest walk we've had was from the far end of Congress Park to Springs and that was about 7 minutes. Now that the Paddock pool is open, it would be a less than 5 minute walk to that Pool.

The only section we have not stayed in is Carousel. We have stayed in Springs, Paddock, Congress Park, Grandstand and the Treehouses.

Another thing to keep in mind if you are using the bus system is that Springs, considered to be the best location, is the last bus stop and the buses may be at standing room only by the time they stop there.
