This is my second time to type this.........first one is lost in cyberspace I guess.
Anyway.....we have been here at SSR since Saturday in a 1 br.....1st visit as DVC members. This afternoon we went to Epcot and I put a load of clothes in the washer before we left. When we came back 5 hourse later the washer was still washing....full of water....just washing away. I turned it off and turned it to rinse and it started draining and rinsing. We decided to go over to AP for a quick bite and when we returned water was all over the floor, in the bathroom and foyer area and there was a strong burning smell. I immediately called the front desk and they said they would send someone over. An hour later maintenance came and looked at the machine and said it needs to be replaced in the morning. He gave me lots of towels and put some over the water on the carpet and said that he couldn't dry it tonight because it was too late and it would be too noisy ( it was 11:00pm by this time). Then housekeeping came by and left even more towels. Also, my clothes are all ruined.....I guess from the 5 hours of washing they are all stretched and faided and have this blue fuzz all over them.....I loaded them all up and took them over to guest laundry but it didn't help much. The maintenance guy said he would put it in on the report that the clothes are damaged. Now, we are walking on wet towels and I guess I will go and talk to the manager in the morning. I really don't want to have to move all my stuff but I also don't want to be walking on wet carpet. we only have one more night after tonight.
