SSR Waitlist?

Is there really a waitlist to acquire points for SSR direct? With all the resales I see for Saratoga Springs you would think there wouldn't be such a waitlist on direct sales. Or are people getting waitlisted for a particular use year?

SSR is officially sold out, so there's no new inventory being added. Disney hasn't been actively using their right of first refusal the way they once did, so that means most of the inventory they have is from forclosed contracts. It wouldn't surprise me if there's a waitlist, but even so, I would think points would come through without having to wait too incredibly long. Simply because of the large number of points at the resort.

Thank you for the response. Now it makes sense to me. I had just read a few posts that said there was a waitlist. I guess I did not realize there were a considerable number of foreclosures!
