SSR vs. HH

We are trying to decide b/t the 2 resorts for a 4 night stay the last week of Oct. We are not doing any resorts. We're just planning to relax and have some great family time. We have dd8 and ds5 so we still want plenty of fun activities for them. They will want to swim some so I know SSR will be good for that. Is the pool at HH heated? Also, what kind of halloween-themed activities will they have around the resort at HH vs. the various resorts around WDW?

Are you talking about Oct. of this year or next year? If this year, you might want to call and see if anything is available at HHI. I know I tried to get something in October and had no luck at all. Now we were trying for a studio.

Hilton Head Island Resort is much smaller than Saratoga. HHI has 123 rooms, while Saratoga Springs has 1,260 rooms (source: internet, so #'s may be somewhat off....).

Hilton Head avg temperature in Oct is 76/57. Lake Buena Vista is 84/65 (so Hilton Head will be cooler).

I was @ Hilton Head Island Resort in Aug, and had a great time.
