I own at SSR and have visited for spa treatments, but have never stayed there. I've heard people say that DTD is a plus, but how long does it actually take to walk over there?
This is probably the most inflammatory thing you said ... but I have to kinda agree with youMy wife remarked that the exteriors were POP without the POP!
Ouch.
I'm just curious-how does a one or two bedroom change your view of your surroundings at SSR? Do the views change?2 observations
#1 you were in a studio. I think if you are like most people and are staying in
a one or two bedroom, your whole outlook changes about your surroundings.

Also .. would it have cost THAT much more to enclose the interiors walkways of the buildings and lay down some carpet? Its like a motel in that respect ..
Totally agree about the POP references ..

This is one of the big reasons they say MF's at SSR are lower....not AC cost for interior hallways, or maintenance costs for carpeting, etc. Not saying it is worth it or not, but definitely one of the main reasons for cost differences in MF's from other resorts.

No, actually it is like a condo in that respect. Many condo resorts have exterior hallways and personally we prefer them.
I think it is fine that not everyone likes SSR, I don't like BWV. But just because I don't like BWV, I have no desire to try and change it.
There is no way this photo of the outside of SSR,
SSR photo
in any form resembles the outside of Pop. Pop Century
We just returned from a 2 night stay at SSR before our cruise. I have to say it is not my favorite resort. We stayed the last night at VWL and Ithis resort.
For me, it is the proximity to the parks that makes the resort stay soooo magical. I love to sit out on my balcony and catch a glimpse of the fireworks over the castle!!
Everyone has their own opinion but we will be sticking to BCV for VWL for our future trips~
