We recnetly purchased DVC- SSR and are hoping to make our first visit home this fall. Call anyone tell me how often the buses run going from SSR to the parks? Do they go to the transportation center or do the go to each park?

It has been quite a while since we have been to WDW but are hoping to fix that issue very soon.

Thank you!

As is the case with all WDW busses, there is no fixed schedule. You can probably expect waits to average about 10 minutes--longer if you just miss a bus, shorter if your timing is good.

All busses go direct to their destination--either a theme park, water park or Downtown Disney. None of the busses go direct from SSR to the TTC.

(At times DD and Typhoon Lagoon will share busses, and the Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach may also share during slower periods.)

SSR also has boat service to Downtown Disney. Currently the boat runs hourly throughout the morning and early afternoon. At 4pm, it begins to make runs every 30 minutes.

I've been to SSR twice and both times I walked over to DTD Transportation Center to take a bus to my destination. Only about a 10 minute walk. SSR has bus tranportation, but I found that walking over to DTD Trans Center they had more buses and the waits were shorter.

Don't get me wrong, the bus service was great at SSR, but DTD Trans was quicker due to more buses. Keep in mind this is with the four buildings open now. As building open up this philosphy will change due to the size of SSR. The walk would be much longer with future buildings.

Just keep in mind, if you're planning on doing this, that you can not get a bus from DTD to any of the 4 main theme parks. However, if you're resort hopping, this may be a good option.

Syracusewolvine,

Thanks, you are right. Now that I think about it I used DTD transportation when we went to Boardwalk, Charater Breakfast etc. When we went to the parks we always took the SSR transportation. Sorry for incorrect info.

Some consider this to be a nice perk of staying at SSR. From some locations in Congress Park, it's only a 5-10 minute walk to the Downtown Disney bus stops. From there you can catch a bus to any other WDW resort.

When staying at other properties, you either need to walk or take a bus to one of the theme parks, then board another bus (or monorial) before arriving at another resort.
