Like I said, it’s an observation. OKW and SSR rely completely on bus transportation to get to the theme parks. What you just outlined is that VGF has multiple modes of transportation to Epcot that do not require a bus ride. And for people who dislike the buses, that’s not a bad thing. I’ll take a 15 minute walk from VGF to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail any time over standing on a moving bus with a stroller wheel digging into my ankle.

Exactly. Regardless of whether or not that complaint is justified, it is not as broadly desirable as the other DVC properties. My hope is that, if they can satisfy a major SSR/OKW gripe such as that, it will spread the love across the properties a little more. Who knows... maybe... just maybe, help get you that 7 month booking you always seem to miss out on.
Sorry Z I don’t know the exact wording I’d like to, I’ll try to dig it out, but I saw a report from someone who bought direct recently and he said the guide was stressing this easement. They never mentioned it to me when I bought a direct add on in 2016.
I doubt they will be allocated to specific rooms. There are just more preferred rooms now, so even though you booked after (likely) the refurb rooms were just put on the pool of preferred rooms. May be worth live chatting with member services and asking for one.
Not all buildings have been refurbished yet, but 4 was for cash stays 5 for DVC point stays you supply bed an linens. It should change by early summer when they finish the last few buildings. Last I heard there are 3 that have to be refurbished, with 3 currently closed getting worked on at a time.
So in theory if I booked for 5 using points, they'd let me do it but I wouldn't be guaranteed one of the rooms with the 5th sleeper?
Correct. This is why they are still listed as BYObed. Until the last building is done, no guarantees.

It’s probably done by computer and with Disney IT, I wouldn’t trust it.
