My family and I (DH and 2 DD ages 3 & 6) will be staying at SSR in a studio Oct. 17-21. I just had a few questions for you folks. Thanks for any information you may have in advance...

1. Do the Studios have DVD players? Not that we will be using it all that often but it would be nice to know so we could bring our own DVD's from home.

2. My Mother and Father are staying in a studio there as well as my Brother and his family. Are the studios located next to each other or are the separated? I guess in reality I really want to know what the chances are that we will be near each other.

3. I heard that they have organized children's activities. What does this mean? Does anyone know what types of things they do with the kids?

Thanks!

The studios do not have DVD players (or VCRs). 1BR villas (and larger) all have DVD players at SSR.

There are no studios adjacent to one another. You can request that they be nearby, but being on the same floor would be the closest you'd be able to find. Here are the floorplans for SSR.

There are children's programs similar to the other onsite resorts and I'd expect more programs to become available as occupancy continues to rise with more buildings opening.

Have a great stay- it's a beautiful resort.

Enjoy!

Thanks so much for the info! I didn't think there was a chance of us being right next to each other, but I figured I'd ask. I can not wait to get to go "home" for the first time - I'm sooo excited!:earsgirl:

There weren't a lot of children's activities available IMHO. They do have a community hall and they will give you a flyer with the weekly activities but it is really not much. They did some father's day cards when we were there, bingo, etc. They do have a ping pong table (which my 5 year old son LOVED), he kept praying for rain so we could leave a park one day so he could play ping pong.
They also have board games available and a dry erase board. Lots of coloring sheets out. Hope this helps!
