SSR Satisfaction Poll

This poll is for the SARATOGA SPRINGS RESORT.
A reply on a recent post looking for positive reports on BCV stated when
“we do a survey and have people rate their experiences at the resorts. Overwhelmingly, the polls indicate a high satisfaction level with all resorts.”
With this in mind, I am going post polls for each of the DVC resorts. This is not a resort bashing opportunity, but a time to rate your experience at a resort. Please only vote if you had stayed at the resort, not just visited. Because people rate problems differently – some hate lint on the carpet others don’t, some don’t mind waiting ½ hour for housekeeping to fix something others do, I am leaving it open. Rate it on a personal level for yourself.

We stayed in the second CP building in June. The whole place is lovely. The sparkling rooms are very well done. The pool and common areas (arcade, community hall) were very enjoyable. Every staff member we ran into was knowledgable and courteous. We had a great meal at AP, and I'm looking forward to seeing additional menu items in the future.

The bus transportation was the best we've ever experienced at any WDW resort.

The few things that needed improvement were minor, and I included a list of them with my WDW survey when I got home. I expect some tweaking after a resort opens - and I can't wait til our trip next May to see what kind of changes they have made.

We stayed back in May and had a great time. The resort is beautiful and the service was outstanding. The main pool was better than expected and the quiet pools were very nice as well. DW and I believe that buying into DVC was money well spent.

It exceeded my expectations, because it is very well done.

It has a true Resort feel, and we would stay there even if there were not 4 Theme Parks close by. My DH really liked it too and we purchased additional points.

The sports court (Tennis, Basketball) are very nice, as are the lounges.

Being so close to DTD and the Waterparks is a big plus with our family. My boys love DQ, and will be able to walk over by themselves when they are in their teens.

We were not impressed. Now, for what it is, it is indeed very nice. But for one, everytime we passed the entrance to OKW we were sorry we were not 'home'. The rooms are very nice, but small. The doors to the bathroom were annoying, at best. The bath room has no shelf space, and only one small hook. The lights were glaring, in the kitchen and eating area. Once the sofa bed is out, it pretty much takes up all the living room, including making it difficult to get to the porch.
And, are we the only ones who are getting tired of the same Eastern seaboard/NY resort look? (Ok, I know OKW and WLV) but isn't it time to maybe think out side the (East Coast) box? Maybe southwest or Southern, or Midwest, or something different?
Now, if we had spent $$ for the room to rent, and were not familiar with DVC and/or OKW, we probably would have liked Saratoga. But, we are, and we didn't.

Since we're new to DVC, and SSR was our first experience with a DVC property, we were totally and completely satisfied! We love the place, and can't wait until our next visit home. It exceeded our expectations!

We loved our stay! That being said, we ahve no other resorts besides ASMo to compare too.
