SSR Rooms

We joined DVC at the beginning of this year and will be vacationing at SSR starting 07/27/05 to 08/04/05 . We have requested a view of downtown Disney realizing of course that requests are not guaranteed. However, we were wondering if anyone had specific buildings and or rooms that would be good . We would like to be close to the private pool. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I recently stayed at SSR... You might want to ask for Congress park buildings. My building was very close to the pool and the play ground (less than a minute walk from the building), not to mention right across from the DTD Pleasure Island, and only a minute walk to the bus stop...

but as you know, it is only a request which won't be guaranteed... But you will love SSR no matter where you stay.... After all, it's Disney....

Most all the rooms at Congress Park have a DTD view. Some better than others. So you have a good chance of getting that view. Congress Park buildings are not numbered individually, just the room numbers keep increasing. So you can't actually request a building by number.

Plus all the Congress Park buildings are close to the leisure pool.

You should be able to get what you want, as long as there is availability at CP.

The lower numbered congress park rooms are closer to DTD. I like the Congress Park Rooms in the 2000. THey are close to DTD but also close to the club house and the big pool. (I love the waterslide) Stayed at SSR 3 times and have been in 3 of the 4 biuldings at SSR. I like the middle 2 the best!

We were at SSR early June and stayed in room 4123 and had a great view. We were very close to the bus stop and main pool, a very convenient location.

We stayed at Congress Park in June 2004. Great view of DTD and right near the quiet pool. You can walk to DTD West Side by taking the path to the right and walking over the lake and along side the golf course. Warning .... We requested a two bedroom at Congress Park for our return in June of this year and did not get the request. We stayed in The Springs which is closer to the main pool and the Center of SSRS. Still loved Congress Park and have a request to stay there in December of this year and June 2006, but The Springs was not bad ....... especially if you have kids.
