The Turf Club, the horse-racing-themed lounge nestled behind The Artist's Palette at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, is becoming The Turf Club Bar & Grill. Debuting officially this summer, this expanded destination will offer table-service dining for about 140 people, including seating for 90 in a new dining room and room for 50 on a covered patio overlooking Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. Beyond the expanded dining space, the lounge will continue to be a place to shoot pool, enjoy a cocktail or simply kick back to watch the big game on TV. "This will be the best of both worlds," said Disney Vacation Club Resorts General Manager Sonya Deese-Byrnes. "The lounge will continue to be a great place to unwind after a day in the Parks, and the expanded space will complement The Artist's Palette by offering a table-service dining option." Selections from the new menu already are available in the lounge, such as crab-cake bites, buffalo chicken strips and more. Look for the expanded menu this summer, featuring a variety of "American favorites creatively prepared," including appetizers (from fried calamari to a baked onion soup), entrees (including a grilled salmon BLT on olive panini bread with applewood smoked bacon) and desserts (the chocolate-hazelnut soufflé with seasonal berries may be habit forming). "We're already hearing rave reviews for the menu selections, and we look forward to debuting the expanded selections," Sonya said.
