WE are hoping to stay at SSR in a studio. I'm thinking we want to be near the check in building. Is there a special area we should request? I think one pool is larger/more themed, which area is this in? Any other information about SSR is appreciated, thanks.
I think, right now, the SSR main pool is closed, being refurbished, or are you talking about summer+?
The Springs is generally referred to as the "closest to the main pool/areas
If you look on a map, the 2 Grandstand pool buildings are just as close as springs (but there are 2 farther grandstand buildings) The Grandstand also has it's own pool with a pool bar, and a little kid water play area. and Grandstand is the first bus stop for parks (THV, when opened, might become "first") Springs is the last park bus stop (which means you can hop on any park bus to get to the main area/Springs. The DTD bus runs "backwards" to take you back) I'm a Grandstand fan because I think it feels more scenic/relaxing (more quality private balcony time!) and just as close.
Also frequently requested is Congress Park, which has some units with a DTD view and a quiet pool overlooking DTD, but it is much farther to the main pool..
And, SSR has the best spa in Florida (voted by Conde Nest?). The sit-down restaurant Turf Club is really good, and try to take a boat to DTD (boat stop is behind Turf Club), and the golf course clubhouse is right there, too.
