I spoke to our DVC guide the other day and he said the point schd for SSR is out. He also said that the maintenance fee will be $3.80 per pt. The pt schd is similar to OKW. For example, a studio in Adventure season is 95 pts per week at SSR. The incentives are not out now. He said there is a sales meeting on the 29th and it will probably be announced to them then. The price is $89 per pt and the expiration is 2054. He did say that there was no talk of extending yr 2042 contracts because the current DVC resorts would be closed down for refurbishing.

just curious, who is your guide? is he a higher level manager?
i also spoke to my guide, and she said that the points schedule has not been released yet. that info is only being released a little at a time to the guides on a need to know basis.

she mentioned there would be training for all the sales staff in a week, to prepare everyone for 8/4. she also confirmed the $89/pt increase but did not mention 2054.
of course, she could just be being careful, not leaking info early.

btw, do they always know the maintenance fees so early? the maintenance shouldn't start until May 2004 or whenever the resort opens.
so, just curious how they know about SSR when they haven't forecasted the rest of the resorts yet.

We'll see what unfolds but 95 points for a studio in Adventure season is still significantly higher than OKW. OKW is 80 and the others (sans BWV standard) are 104. And that's for a smaller room. Better than it could be but still too many.

When I asked what the point schd was he asked me where I lived and then had to check to see if he could release info to me. Maybe they only let certain parts of the country know certain info. It doesn't really make sense because then I could come here (which I did) and let everyone know what I found out. I guess we'll have to wait until Aug to find out for sure what the deal is.

It does make sense as they have to get approval by state to sell over the phone. They do not have it for all states at the current resorts, so I assume it comes in slowly with a new resort as well.

We just stopped by the BWV welcome center today and they all said that the point schedule hasn't been released yet, nor is the date to start sales.
