Gee, I make a trip to WDW and suddenly feel the need to post these new threads!!!
But, I did want to share some information I got when we toured SSR.
The sales lady who showed us the model rooms (same lady who showed us BCV rooms a couple of years ago!) was very gracious to existing members. Had us sign a book and gave us a couple of pins.
I remarked to her that the resort was very nice and lots of new buildings under construction. I said that it seemed that the main pool was a little small to handle a resort that size.
She told me that the final resort would have five pools altogether. I then asked if the other four would be "quiet pools", and she replied that no, each one would have "theming" and play areas, etc. I slapped my forehead later for not asking her about slides at the other pools, but the way she talked, the other pools would be more than the basic quiet pools at the current DVC resorts.
I just thought I'd pass that along for the crowd here.
And for what it's worth, the models had beautiful decor and were very nice looking...what I'd call elegant even. The Grand Villa is spectacular, IMHO, and my daughters loved the idea of the upstairs exit door to the hallway!
I think SSR will be quite a complex when it's finished, and I'm confident it will continue the tradition of first class accommodations for DVC owners.
