Is there a time, where Disney contacts you to see what your feelings are on improvements to the home resort?

I have read a couple threads and there was a hint that there is communication between DVC owners and Disney.

Is this really the case? If so, in what format? We've been owners for 3 or so years now, and I can't recall getting anything like this.

TIA! :cool2:

DVC has sent out a couple of surveys to members in recent months. That's a fairly new development. The surveys they have sent are targeted toward specific topics. One of them asked for feedback on potential new member perks.

If you have specific comments to share, I would just write directly to DVC. The only advice I'll give is that you may want to avoid making recommendations. Disney tends to shun correspondence which suggests specific improvements or changes to parks and resorts. Over the years they have been sued many times by people who sent in their suggestions and then expected to be compensated when the idea was implemented. Because of that, they have a corporate policy that any correspondence which makes direct recommendations is immediately destroyed or returned to the sender.

For that reason, you probably want to keep your comments more critical in nature rather than offering solutions. In other words, if you don't like the food at Artist's Palette tell them "I don't like flatbreads" rather than something like "you should serve Italian food." If you don't like the mattresses in the room, tell them what you don't like about it but don't say "you should buy ____ mattresses instead."

Good luck!

No, they really don't ask members much, but we do hear "based on member comments here is the latest enhancement to your membership".

I think they get most of their info from whining or griping.

. . . but we do hear "based on member comments here is the latest enhancement to your membership".

Is this the same group that keeps telling my companies senior management that our benefits are too good and we should adopt the "industry standard" immediately?

Maybe they need to pay more attention to the Microsoft Ads showing a thousand different faithful users each claiming, "Windows 7 ... was my idea."
