SSR layout?

Does anyone know where there is a map I could look at explaining the layout of SSR? We are going in one week and I'm really trying to figure out whether or not we will have a strong building preference.

Ideally, I would like for us to be near the main pool. My understanding is that the main pool has a zero-depth entry for the little ones. Pools without a zero-depth entry are useless for us because my little one hates to be held in the water and just likes to splash around.

If you stay by the main pool, how much time does that add to the walk to DTD? Are the buildings by the main pool also by the main entrance, or is that a huge walk as well? I've been hearing people say the view from Congress Park building is nice, but how long of a walk would that be to the main pool?

Basically, I think we would sacrifice view to not have to schlepp for a ten minute walk to things like the pool we would use. But, if the great view is also the buildings closest to DTD, we may rethink.

TIA!

Here is a report of the building configuration for SSR including floor maps for the buildings (all have the same basic configuration).

Doc,

Thanks! What great information about SSR. :flower: I can hardly wait--just two more weeks until my first trip home.

How far is it from building to building to walk? I think that will be the big decision maker for me....how long does it take to get from Congress Park to the pool, or from the Springs to the Bus Transportation center?

It's about 200 yds from the closest building at Congress Park to the main pool. There is also a pool at Congress Park. The Springs area has it's own bus stop. The buildings in each area are situated about 20 yards apart and there are good walkways between all of the areas. Even the far buildings in The Paddocks have a walkway across the lake to the Springs.

From Congress Park, you can walk to DD within about 10 minutes. Here is a link to some photos of SSR that may provide a little more visualization of the area.

Enjoy!
