Does SSR really have 12 more years of use than the others?

Does this mean that you would actually have to stay AT SSR for your reservations for these last years? Or could you stay at any of the DVCs post-2042? I know ownership reverts back to Disney then for the others, but if it doesn't for SSR then does that mean SSR is the only resort that you can stay in those last years? I think I might still be around then, so I am curious.

Also, is it really hard to get reservations less than 7 months out? If not, I don't get what difference your home resort makes. Should probably go for SSR if it has 12 more years of use.

While initial SSR sales are taking place, it is a non-issue getting reservations at 7 months for any type of accommodations you like because there are so few owners there is nobody making reservations at 11 months.

This was exactly the situation at BCV. Take advantage of it while you have the ability to do it.

As far as your other questions, either call your guide or read the prospectus - they will have all the answers.

The current DVC resorts will be unavailable to SSR owners unless they are extended some way in DVC. If new resorts are built, they would likely be available after 31 Jan, 2042. It's possible the current DVC resorts will be extended but not something that is guaranteeds or required.
