SSR Grand Villa Suggestions

Hi Folks!

New Owner here.. well, almost. I put a down payment down at SSR and I am awaiting my paperwork to arrive. I keep looking for the Fed Ex truck, but it hasn't come yet. I can't wait, it feels like Christmas Eve!

Anyway, I'm looking to start off my ownership with a bang. I'm looking to book a Grand Villa at SSR for the Night of Joy concerts in September. I did a search here and I see that the the SSR GV's are very elegant & plentiful, but do you think I'll have a problem booking one for 9/7-9/8? It'll probably be another week or two before I am actually in the system.

Also, are there any particular GV's at SSR that I should try to get or try to avoid? You see, my wife needed a little convincing to buy in to DVC, and I would like this trip to blow her away. Not that my wife is hard to please or anything, but I am hoping that this far exceeds her expectations, so she feels a little more comfortable about buying in. We will also be bringing 2 other families, who are both considering ownership, so it would be nice if they are "wowed" as well.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That's less 7 months away. I'd think it would be booked by now. You can always try though. Keep in mind SSR only has a handful of GVs.

You can't book a particular area, but I think if I splurged on a GV I'd request Congress Park with a DTD view. They are all very nice though.

Hope it works out for you. If you can't get a GV, try for a 2 bedroom in Congress Park with the same view.

I had no problem getting an OKW grand villa for Sept 16-22 at the 7 month window. September is pretty slow. Don't give up hope!
