SSR Building Requests

Is anyone requesting specific buildings when booking SSR? Does anyone think there would be an advantage to asking for one such as a DTD view room? Lake view? Pool view?

Is this type of request even a possibility?

To be perfectly honest with you, I'm not even quite sure what 'views' some rooms will have that others will not have. This Resort is going to be quite expansive, though and I'm just wondering what everyone else has thought about this?

We requested a Downtown Disney view for December 04 reservation. We thought it would be nice to see Downtown Disney. We'll scope the place out and hope for trip reports to know if we want special view requests in the future. In the future we may want a building closer to the main pool, but those buildings will not be open in December.

Our number one request is always non smoking.

I'd love to see what others are requesting for a view.

We requested non-smoking, close to main pool for our first trip home to SSR in Nov. Iwas told that the views (for now anyway) are DTD and pool view.

At this point, all Im asking for is the "non-construction" view.

When that view isnt a possibility anymore, I'll probably ask for a quiet location. From there is depends on what kind of trip were taking......

This is all very good to know. I haven't made my 11-month out reservation yet but I think I will ask for DTD view, NS.

It will be interesting to begin hearing trip reports after May.

Since only buildings 1-4 will be open in 2004, all will have a lake/DD view. Some will have a look at the quiet pool and fireworks viewing area , but few (if any) will see the main pool from the balcony.

Buildings 5-7 will have a lake view and will be closest to the main pool, but none will really look out over the pool (it's across the street from the buidlings). The remaining buildings will have balconies that look towards the main pool- but from across the lake.

For now- count on a lake/DD view! (MS can probably guarantee that view for this year! )
