As said before am going to SSR in September to celebrate my daughters 21st am taking whole family as my parents are with us would like to know how far the pool is from the acomodation do I need to ask to be in a certain building so that it will not be too far for my parents to walk to the main areas, as I have a concern that if it is like OKW you could be a fair distance away.

On our latest stay @ BWV's 7/26/04 thru 8/05/04, we had the time to check out SSR. The building are spread out like OKW. The building are spread out pretty good and depending where you are you might have a long healthy walk. I would request a building close to the main theme pool and building if you have anyone with issues with walking. The resort is beautiful and buildings are still in the process of being built.

The only 4 buildings open now are pretty much equidistant from the main pool. I'd say it's about a 6-8 minute walk tops at a leisurely pace. The walk takes you from your resort door, through a parking lot (about 4 or 6 rows of cars), across a small bridge, and down a road roughly one city block in length.

There is a leisure pool right in the middle of the four buildings that are open if you don't want to walk that far to the main pool. The leisure pool is probably no more than 30 seconds from your door.

Since there's little reason to request one building over another, I'd suggest limiting your requests to really important ones (smoking preference, floor, etc.)
