I have some sad news.
My grandpa that everyone so willingly prayed for over the last week or so, passed away on Saturday evening.
the procedure that they did on him a week before was helping and he was starting to get better. well early saturday morning, they are not sure if he had a blood clot that caused a heart attack, or if it was another reason, but his heart stopped saturday morning. after working on him, they were able to get a heart beat back. he had some issues after that happened, and was being helped along with machines to stay alive...
well the machines could not fully help him, and God called him home saturday evening.
it is never easy to loose a loved one, but the family is doing okay. i talked with my grandma last night and she sounded well, she is hurting but her spirits were up.
the family is happy that he is not feeling any pain anymore and is now well.
One blessing from this is that my grandma will now move back up here to be by the family and will be able to see her great grand children more.
I am happy for all the memories that I have of him, and for having the pleasure to know him for as long as I did.
he loved trains, and worked with the railroad for his entire career. parker loved to see his train pictures on the wall. he had such a great time with parker as well, and they loved to give each other hugs.
he was a kidder, and enjoyed teasing candi...saturday night, she said that it was a great feeling to know that grandpa already knows if we are having a boy or a girl and is smiling down with just one more thing to tease her about. he had a great spirit about him, and while it is sad he is gone, he did not want people to morn him, but celebrate his life...so when they come up north later this week, we are going to plan a celebration of his life.
thank you all for the prayers and the thoughts that you have given in the past, and for those in the future as well.
a few pictures of him.
on our visit this last summer while in FL
these were of him with parker while parker was about 5 months old.
