Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

Glad that Parker ended up enjoying his first coaster! We took my 4 yr old nephew to Dorney Park yesterday and had him go on the log flume. He was fine...until the hill. Then the 'I want to get off!' screaming ensued. But a half hour later, he said he liked it. :confused3:laughing:
but i bet if you tried to get him on again even after he said he liked it you would get a nahhhh thats okay maybe next time.

Cute pictures of Parker on his first roller coaster!

Tell your Dad that brownie looked really yummy.
thanks, the brownie was looking better than it tasted we didnt really like them all that much.

Parker looks to have the makings of a true thrill seeker. Love the pictures of him laughing.

We haven't done Casey's since 2002. We really need to stop in there. Cosmic Rays in one of our favorites. We usually sit in the Sunny area. We like a little entertainment with our food.
im sure he will love them even more when he grows up, we both love them, and he likes to spin in circles alot.

we hit cosmic rays every trip, sadly this was the first year we didnt sit by sonny :sad2:

I've been skipping Cosmic Rays since I discovered the steak sandwiches weren't there - the boys would rather go to Pecos Bills for that kind of food and without the steak sandwiches, I didn't really care. Glad to hear they are back :woohoo:

And here's a little story about "You know you are on the DIS too much when....." You are sitting in Cincinnati (6 hours away from home) at a Cubs-Reds game and somebody walks up the aisle by your seats. You spend several minutes trying to figure out how you know them, or who they remind you of, when you discover they look like the wife of a Dis-poster whose thread you are following. Yep, there was a pretty blonde, who had the same hairstyle as Candi, looked probably about the same age - I must have spent the better part of an inning racking my brain trying to figure out who she was. The worst part was, that I asked my husband - thinking it was someone we both knew, or maybe someone on a TV show.....when I realized who it was......I did not admit it to him. :rolleyes1

and the extra cheese sauce is back on the topping bar after being taken away a few years ago.

thats funny, there is a girl on here whos report i read, and there are 2 girls in my town tha tlook exactly like her, that i see all the time. kinda weird.

Great job Parker on the Buzz Light Year points!

I replied to your post & gave you the link to purchase Shrinky Dinks on my report. I should've posted it here, sorry!

Yes, but I can't pronounce any of their names......too many consonants and not enough vowels!:rotfl2:

That was awesome, Marv!! Truly a work of written art.

Hey FanMan, Great update. I've not a clue who any of them are except Tink. IF parker thinks they are scary, maybe they are.

I tried to post yesterday, but the DIS was doing some crazy stuff at the time!

Anyhoo - Parker looked adorable on the Barnstormer. So glad he had such a great time!
What a cutie he is.

I can't believe you stayed turned around the whole time on the Speedway with a camera in one hand and the camcorder in the other. Um...you sound like me!!!

Probably! The picture my SIL snapped shows him looking absolutely terrified!
 i bet

youve never seen the tink movies?

Aww-Parker looked unsure about Barnstormer the first time. Glad he enjoyed it though!
me too, i knew he would like it, just had to get him through one ride of it.

the dis does that sometimes, or tells you fatal error then posts it anyway.
:sad2:

i know the things we do for a good picture or video of our little ones, it was actually pretty funny even to me, i was getting knocked around like...well lets just leave it at that.

Sorry, I've been MIA. Crazy busy here!
So Parker enjoyed his first coaster! Its always nerve-racking for a parent that first time you put them on a coaster. Its usually either love or hate, and it pretty much stays that way. Nova is a lover of the coaster too at 9, even the really big ones I won't go on. If she make height, she on it.

I can't even score 6000 on Buzz. :rotfl:

hey not a problem i understand, its hard to find time for me to do updates as well.

i was happy it was a short ride so if he didnt like it it would not take long for us to get off, but luckily he was all good for it.

i love them as well, but they are starting to give me headaches when i ride them.

I missed several posts, but I'm caught up now! I loved Parker's face on the second Barnstormer ride - he really enjoyed that one!

Sorry he was so freaked out by the fairies! It looks like you had pretty good interaction with them - we found it to be the same way. What a neat area!

I'm surprised you've never been to Casey's! We sat in the back on the bleachers on our 2008 trip and got dinner for the kids. Haley ate, and the boys just napped in the strollers (in really contorted positions, the way kids do when they fall asleep...we had several people stop and comment!). It was great, because it was our last day and one of us could go and shop while the other stayed with the kids - who were occupied (at least, when they were awake...:rolleyes1)

it is themed really neat, but it can be a sensory overload if they are prepared for it.

nope actually i never really realized it was there till i read about it a few times on the dis over the last year...i knew there was a building there, but never paid attention to it.

:sad2:

Chapter 16. Mish Mash of Stuff

First of all, sorry the updates are as regular as they were, seems i only have time for about an update a week lately.

Anywho, here we go.

after lunch it was time to check out winnie the pooh...when i was walking behind parker and candi, i just loved how little he looks but big at the same time, so i squatted down and got a picture form his height, the world from that level is quite different.
DSC01033.jpg

the ride was a blast as always, and i forgot everything i read about it in the hidden secrets book...but i did manage to see some things in this picture after i got home that i didnt notice on the ride, maybe thats why your not suppose to use the flash:rolleyes1 see the "hidden" speaker that plays the sound on the ride...you would think that they would try and hide it a little better than that.
DSC01043.jpg

next up was the carrosel ride, parker loved this he was smiles the whole way around everyone got a horse except me i stood and held onto parker so he wouldnt get scarred even though he had a strap around him.
DSC01045.jpg

we all did the tiki birds together, and he only got antsy when it came around to the time the tiki gods played there drums, other than that he loved the birds.
DSC01760.jpg

before we split up we found the stage that i knew about from the boards and had papa go up there and get his picture taken.
Photo0205.jpg

after that parker went up with papa to take a picture with him and fight the bad guys.
Photo0206.jpg

i had a picture of just parker fitting him before the one with grandpa but it never showed up on the photopass for some reason, and didnt realize it until to late to get it added.

candi parker and I road pirates
DSC01051.jpg

he did pretty good didnt fuss at all and nothing scared him, we just made sure we kept telling him what things were and pointing out things as being funny instead of scary.

what did nana and papa do, well i guess they ended up going on BTM as this was in there pictures.
DSC01762.jpg

we went and took a ride on the train for parker, we road it all the way around and got back off at splash.
DSC01066.jpg

it was getting close to the tiem for the parade to start so we started to scope out our spots and found some good ones across from the frozen drink cart...so we got a few of those to share and hunkered down for our wait.
DSC01764.jpg

candi got her dole whip
DSC01069.jpg

which she did not share with me but one bit.

soon the parade started and mickey was rolling down the road.
DSC01077.jpg

the mice loved parker they played with his nose.
DSC01087.jpg

DSC01086.jpg

when the parade was over it was a good time to cool off and hit up the presidents and see the new additions since we missed it last trip it was still under construction then...we thought it would also work to knock parker out for a nap.
we met this nice CM who was cleaning the walk and he stopped parker and gave him a ton of stickers.
DSC01097.jpg

when we were waiting parker was finding all the "boo boos" as he calls them on people and using his pixie dust from earlier in the day to heal them. then he would wipe them clean with the baby wipe.
DSC01099.jpg

we loved the new begining to the presidents show it was very good, i thought much better than the original...

so did the darkness work in there for parker taking a nap, yep sure did

Photo0211.jpg

he was out...also it gave us time to take back the little monorail toy i got him earlier in the day which the wheels already broke, and get a new one, iactually got a bigger beafier one that was about 3 times bigger and stronger for only 1 dollar more...then when we were going over the bridge toward the castle we remembed that the last trip he was sleeping here and we got photopass pics in the same spot (that picture above is of the photoshoot the lady did)

so we stopped again, i told the lady about last trips pics sleeping there and she was more than happy to give him a little photo shoot and took about 8 pictures of him,

Photo0210.jpg

well some jerk in line next must not have liked it because, when we were standing there, he said "Why do they want a picture of there kid sleeping" in a real snarky nasty tone, like it was ruining his day that i we did this...i started to turn around when candi grabbed my arm and said lets go in a picture with him now...so lucky for snarky guy behind me candi grabbed me or i might have had a few choice words for him.

Photo0216.jpg

we then headed on down main street to look around a little and got a few more photopass pics there as well in front of the castle.
Photo0236.jpg

it was pretty close to our dinner time, so we ended up getting in touch with my parents and met them outside our restraunt, but where did we go....and what happened the rest of the evening, with a chip and dale tribute dance? hmmm that sounds interesting.

That picture of Parker on the carousel is just adorable!

Where is that photo pass location for the Captain Hook shot?? I've never seen that before!

Candi doesn't look too pleased with her dole whip.

Aw, what a great update! Parker is just the most adorable child. And so sweet, too. I loved that he was Pixie Dusting everyone's boo boos. :goodvibes

And as for the jerk questioning why you were getting pictures of your sleeping son, what is it any of his business why you want a picture of anything? He needed to just sit back, wait his turn, and keep his trap shut. I'm glad that Candi had the great idea to hop in the picture with Parker. It turned out great! But still...I wouldn't have blamed you one bit if you had turned around and let that dude have it. And I don't mean pixie dust, either!

;)

Hey Dan,

Just found your report. I had previously read the Flirting one. Parker has gotten so big! It looks like you had a great time. One day we are going to camp at Wilderness, but with a tent. I told my husband only during the winter months I will do that! I am enjoying your report and keep it up!

PS - I wouldn't share my Dole Whip either!

Love the update...you are so lucky Parker sleeps in the stroller..DS doesn't so we always have to head back to resort after lunch. (which isn't always a bad thing b/c sometimes I nap too!!) DD naps just fine in them though...go figure. :confused3

thanks i really like that picture of him too has a good shot of papa looking at him smileing as well.

it is right across from the pirates ride, i wouldnt have know about it unless i saw it here, and the photopass guy was dressed up in kinda piratey clothes so i almost didnt spot him, he was just kind of strolling around the area.

no she doesnt, im not sure what she was doing, if she was getting ready to say something, or starting to growl at me for looking at her dole whip.

i love how kids just do the cutest things that you wonder where they think them up, it never suprises me the things he says or does.

i know some people i dont know if they are just grouchy at the world, or just dont understand that sometimes parents like to make memories of there kids at disney or any place for that matter.

yeah he almost had it.:thumbsup2

:welcome: glad you found it and were able to join in this one as well.

we had a blast on the trip, i hope the chapter links at the front of this thing helped you out.

just watch out for the alligators trying to get in your tent or armadillos:laughing:

hope the info on FW has helped you out in this report.

he does really well in them, we have never taken him back during the day to nap unless it was a water park day, we just work the "sleepy" rides into the schedule about his nap time, and it usually worked every day for him.

i know alot of people like the down time in the afternoon, i just hate going back and forth and feel i waste alot of time if i do that...i think it also helps that we usually schedule a good amount of off park days as well, so we dont have to worry about going every day so hard.

love love love the hook pics! I've not seen that one before, it's adorable!

And I adore the sleeping pic. What a great idea to get! But good that you didn't have words....
