Thanks to all of you, I am once again rethinking my Discovery Magic wishes choices. I am trying to maximize my wishes.

When I originally booked our trip (August 15 - 22), I booked resort magic. Then after must research, I rebooked with Discovery Magic. The originally cost with resort magic was $1,475.00. The new cost with Discovery Magic is $2,167.93. For a difference of $692.93. Which breaks down to $26.65 per wish (692.93 / 26). Note: I didn't include 2 wishes because they originally came with the Disney Resort Magic.

So now the goal is to make the most out of that $692 extra dollars spent.

I like the option with the package of the perferred fireworks viewing. But I have to make sure I booked that 45 days ahead for it to be effective. So with all the unlimited admission to all the parks, a pin of some sort, and 28 wishes my work is not done.

So here is what I have came up with this round:

(2) Swedish Massage 50 min $85
(2) Spa Manicure $40
(2) Spa Pedicure $45
(2) Ultimate European Facial $85
(4) Cirque de Solie $115
(1) Mickey n You Photo Session $40
(1) Children's Activity - Mouseketeer Club $32
(1) Dinner Brown Derby $52
(1) Dinner Le Cellier $63
(2) Hoop De Doo $72.61
(1) Leave A Legacy $38.00

My current total estimate $667.61 and 19 wishes. Help!!!! I still have 9 wishes left.

Can anyone tell me about the value or their opinions on other options such as Animal Kingdom Clock, Animated Cel, other restuarants that offered you the most bang for your wishes.

My DD is 7 years old and eats like a bird so I am going to pay for her meals instead of use a wish. Any info will be greatly appreciated. This is our first trip for her birthday. The count down begins.

I second Narcoossee's. Great food, and very expensive. We also ate at Yachtsman's Steakhouse. DH got the steak and lobster for 49.95, just for the entree. Delicious, but not something we could afford if we had to pay cash. Can you use it at Victoria and Alberts? We've never eaten there, but I hear that is very pricey as well. Good luck. Since we bought DVC, we won't be using the package anymore. That is something I am really going to miss.

This question was not for a cruise trip. I am staying at the All Star for 7 nights, 8 days in August.

However, because of the Dis Info boards I have caught the Disney bug ..... I have the BUG!!! and booked a cruise for March on the Wonder Stateroom 7066.

Help me! I will be working just to pay Disney.......oh well? I just love that Mouse!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :D :D

My only thought is why are you doing a package....I have always found that they are quite more expensive then the pricing a la carte

Now I really need your help. Because I have put together my tentative tour itinerary and with the crowds during August. I need two more days to fit everything in I want to see at a relaxed pace.

So come on all you discovery magic veterans give me some info on your choices and purchases. I am waiting to receive the discovery magic book that Disney give you when you check in. I just call All Stars Movies and asked if I could have it early. Hopefully, all my answer will come in the mail sometime this week.
