for them... :thumbsup2

My Nook decided to take a nose dive the past couple weeks. It can't sideload anymore and my library books keep disappearing.
So I called them and asked to file a claim. First they tried to help me, but of course I already tried everything they threw at me (reboot, reset, etc.). Finally they said no problem, we'll send you a mail in label and as soon as you send it in well send you your payment.
I can pick, paypal, check or amazon GC. Apparently with amazon GC they'll give you additional 5%. So I picked that one.

Packed everything up and dropped it in the UPS box. I swear within hours (as soon as my tracking # went into UPS system) I received my GC by email.

They are amazing... I never bought a warranty for electronics before but Squaretrade made me a believer. Now I can get a new ereader for not a lot of moolah...!!!!

I just thought I should share my experience since there are new ereader owner to bes.

Oh and they have a 30% code for today BDAY. If someone is interested.

This is good to know. I've heard wonderful things about Squaretrade and have warranties thru them for all of my electronics: Kindle, iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Sounds like they were easy to work with! :)

Did they refund you the original purchase price of your Nook, or just what a replacement device (like a refurb) would cost?

They have refunded the purchase price of THREE laptops for us. All 3 had broken LCD screens and we had the accidental damage added to the insurance. In all cases, I filed the claim, sent them the computer and within a week of them receiving it, I had the money in my paypal account. So easy! I have warranties on all electronics.

If you decide to get a warranty, always google for a promotion code. There is usually a 30% out there.

They refunded me the original purchase price. I wondered about that too but they refund based on your receipt.
So if you got a deal for your gadget for $100 they'll pay you $100, even if the new one will cost you $80 or $120.
