After leaving our house for BWI 1/2 hour later then we wanted, we were off. Somehow, I got off 695 and stayed on 81 into downtown Baltimore. Stopped and got directions and was told to go North on 95. While going north my wife called delta and they said we should be going south. Made an illegal u turn on 95 and raced to the airport. Dropped my wife, son and MIL off at delta terminal 2 minutes before the 30 minute check in rule for luggage and told them to get on the plane. Drove around the terminal twice and ended up in the garage for $30 a day. I ran through the airport like the old avis commercials and met them at the gate as the plane was boarding. Offsite parking would never have gotten me to the gate on time. We flew to atlanta and changed planes. My son left his cd's on the 1st plane.
Arrived in Jax, went to pick up a prepaid SUV but they charged me again for the SUV...$817!!! I got this fixed a few days later. We drove off. Stopped for lunch then headed for WDW. 15 miles down the road I realized I left my camera case at Enterprise. Called them up and they had it. Turned around, went and got it and headed to WDW again.
Arrived at BWV around 7pm. Checked in. We were given a BWV courtyard room on the 5th floor. Very nice location.
Drove my wife and MIL to WL and dropped them off. They wanted to see resort xmas decorations so they saw WL, boated to Contemp, then, monorailed to Poly and GF. They had a blast and returned to BWV by bus from TTC.
My son and I went to MK. We went on a few rides, ate turkey legs and were just plain thankful we had made it considering the tough time we had travelling that day. MK closed at 12 and we left about that time taking the boat back to TTC then drove back to BWV. It's been awhile since we took the boat and it was quite nice looking back at MK with all the xmas decorations.
Trouble or not, we pulled it off and were at WDW. What could be better.....spruce
