Monday, July 4th
Last night we got settled in to BCV. 2 bedroom villa facing the courtyard. Loved it. There were a few minor problems, light bulb burnt out, sliding glass door stuck, burner on the stove not working, but one call to maintenance and they were all quickly fixed. Eric, from wegoshop.com, delivered our groceries right on time. He brought them to our room and then put them away in the refrigerator.

Unfortunately our luggage was not delivered in such a timely manner. We left All Star Music at 8:00 a.m. and as of 8:00 p.m., no luggage. Finally, Moose went down to bell services and brought it up himself. Then we went to Pleasure Island, adults only, and had a great time. Kungaloosh!

The great time we had contributed to our late start on the 4th of July. After eggs and bagels, we hoofed it over to Epcot. The walk took all of 4 minutes. The walk to Soarin was not quite so quick. When we got to the Land, there was already a 70 minute wait. Jeesh. This better be worth it.

70 minutes later - Wow. Very worth it. Amazing. Imp calls it the “Full House ride" because of the shot of the Golden Gate bridge.

Lunch was with the princesses again, this time in Norway. This time we had a great waiter, Steven the Norwegian. When I was fumbling over the menu and unable to make a decision or pronounce anything correctly he says, “That’s ok, I’m Norwegian, I understand.” He told us about the dessert which he only has at Christmas time, but now he has it every day because it is on the menu. Made us promise not to tell his mother.

Lots of giggling and “teach me Norwegian, no teach me Norwegian” coming from our princess table. We saw Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella (nice this time) and Ariel. After lunch we rode Mission Space and Test Track and then did every Kidcot stop in the World.

I had dinner reservations at Rose and Crown at 7:55 p.m., hoping for a patio table. Yes, I know 11 won’t fit at one table, yes, I understand patio is not guaranteed, yes, I know it’s July 4th and everyone wants to see the fireworks from the patio……smiling, fingers crossed, they call us in and YES we scored two patio tables! The fireworks were awesome. We were so close we had ash on us when we left. The fireworks were so awesome that even the CM’s were talking about how great they were.

A short walk and we are back at our new favorite DVC resort, Beach Club Villas, welcome home. One of the best Fourth of July’s ever. Magical.

YES! with Lingenberry (sp?) sauce. He told us this long involved story about an almond and a marzipan pig? Apparently mom hides the almond and whoever finds it gets to have the pig? (I may have some of that confused - don't laugh too hard if you know the real story.)

This was one of the desserts that came out with several others for the table to share. We all had a few bites of each. Sadly for us, no almond, no pig.

Yep, one whole almond goes in the batch and whoever finds it gets a prize! We don't do the marzipan pig anymore because my dad is the only one that likes it! My mom usually buys a giant Hershey bar or something! Since my Farmor (Danish for grandmother) passed away, I have been making the rice pudding! It is so yummy and one of my most cherished memories of my childhood! We all look forward to Christmas dessert all year long!

I can't wait to go to WDW and try their version of it!!!
