We have 4 phones on our plan. 3 in our immediate family household and then my dad is on our plan.
Well, dad's phone is about 8 years old....and the battery is finally about dead.
We would like to have him take one of the phones we have currently as it is more user friendly, and then get his new phone transferred to one of our numbers.
How do I go about this and how much extra will we have to pay to switch the numbers?

, anyway, I told them which phone number I wanted to activate the phone under. Not a single question, or concern by the rep. Now, as we approach Christmas, DD11 will be getting a new phone. Because I already used her upgrade credit, I will be using my upgrade credit for her phone and do what I did before. Heck, if I remember correctly, this craziness all began when DH lost his phone at a concert and needed a new one, but it was only a few months old. No upgrade credit left.
Soooo, we used upgrade credit from one of the other lines and it has lead to this jumbled mess of almost never upgrading on our own upgrade credit. We've even had to reactivate old phones for youngest DD when she has lost hers. Its easy and nobody has ever questioned us.
