Just returned from 5 nights at the Springhill Suites - Marriott Village. I've seen a lot of posts regarding questions about this hotel over the last month, so I thought I'd offer a quick report. I thought it was a great value and I'd definitely go back. The entire complex is new and very, very nice. We had a room with a king size bed and a sleeper sofa. It wasn't huge but plenty big for the amount of time we spent there. The service in the entire hotel was excellent.
The pool area was very nice and very well maintained. It wasn't anything fancy compared to the water-park type pool areas that some of the Disney hotels have but it was big enough that it never felt crowded. There is a hot tub too. There is no baby pool but the main pool has an area that starts off very shallow and gradually gets deeper, just like the beach. This was perfect because it enabled me to keep an eye on my little and big one at the same time.
The complimentary breakfst was great. It's self-serve and offers cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, etc. It was a good way to start the day.
The commute to Disney was about 15 minutes from start to finish. We had a car and it was very convenient. I can't offer any information about the bus service.
I would definitely recommend this place and would return there myself. It's a great way to be able to extend your vacation in length by choosing a much more reasonable room rate. Hope this helps!

I'm so glad to hear your positive experience. I have family staying there in June. They booked the "Arthur" package that comes with a welcome gift for the kids. What was you impression of the "village"? Did you get a chance to check out the other hotels? The website describes an "interactive" pool, did you notice any water toys, etc?
Thanks for any info!!

Hi KATENY -

Unfortunately we never visited any of the other hotels or their pool areas. I'm not sure what they really mean by "interactive" pool. Perhaps some of the pools for the other hotels are different and more elaborate. Our pool had a few "fountains" that squirted water across different ares of the big pool. There was also a circular area with a variety of fountains that the kids could stand on, sort of like a sprinkler. The pool also had a few floats and inner-tubes that anyone could use. It was very nice, especially for the amount of time we spent there. We didn't participate in any of the Kids Club programs either, so I can't be of any help there. However, the hotel was great and definitely a great value. Good luck!
