Spring Room Discounts? Yes, this is early

This past spring there was a discount for rooms that could be used the week before and the week after Easter. Does anyone remember when it was released? I'm taking my daughter on college tours in Florida, SC, & NC during her spring break next year. I thought it would be fun to do a one night resort stay and let her lounge by the pool & eat at one her favorite resort restaurants as we work our way through Florida. I tend to book things way in advance, but was wondering when I should start looking out for the spring discounts.
