My overly stuffed box went priority with DC today.

I had seen ALOT of Easter things in the stores today . I thought that they would bring them out maybe tomorrow, but nope we don't have to wait any longer .

Oh goodie! I got my gift from silverarrowknits today.
I wasn't expecting it until next week.

My gift was a very nice kit: three white asiatic lily bulbs,ceramic planter, and compressed peet (growing medium).

Mine was all packed up to be mailed but then I stopped at Wal Mart and they had better Easter stuff out so I ripped it open and repacked and I will be a day late mailing

My packages are packaged and ready to go, just waiting for the post office to open to send them. We did OK, not really impressed with the selection of stuff available. They can put Christmas stuff out in July, but where is all of the Easter stuff? Anyhow, will post once I have sent these today.

Thank you so much for the package. I am so sorry that I didn't get a chance to open it until now. Inside, I received.

3 egg figurines

2 bunny figurines (I love both of these, they are soooo cute, I put them on my hopechest already).

A bag of easter grass

Dark chocolate M & M's (in easter colors) I can't wait to eat these!

Package of pink Peeps. These will be gone right after lunch.

Set of note cards with Bleeding Hearts on them (I have some of these in my side yard, I love them, they are so pretty when they bloom)

Journal with pretty flowers on it.

A wall hanging that says "In my Garden Love Grows", This is so pretty and the colors match my kitchen. I will have to have hubby put it up right next to the back door when he gets home.

A Wilton Easter Candy Making Kit Mega Pack (it includes molds, candy melts, party bags, sticks, deocrating bags, paintbrush). This is so neat. I haven't made any candy in quite some time, but have wanted to get back into it. This is the perfect way to do it.

seriously is UPS cheaper than the mail? I took the box to mail I used the box Ryans arrived in and put our exchange in it ... Ryans cost $9.50 to get here right?


I put the stuff I bought in the box it was NOT heavy it weighted less than when it was sent to us and it cost $27.00 to ship priority? is my post office cheating me or something? she told me the size of the box made it high I showed her the $9.50 sticker that was on there when I recieved it and she said THAT must have been a mistake because the cheapest that size box would ship for even EMPTY would be $18.75?

I've been trying to pack all my exchanges in the flat rate box, sometimes I'm over the flat rate price according to weight and other times I'm under the flat rate price. I've discovered this is the best way to go. Most of my exchanges with delivery confirmation has been around $9.60 per exchange. The one time I decided not to use a flat rate box the price of delivery was almost $20 to send, so I went back to using flat rate boxes.

You are very welcome. I looked in several stores near us for candy making items and no one seemed to sell any, so I was very excited when I found this Easter kit in Walmart. Walmart seems to always have what I'm looking for. Have fun making candy and Happy Spring/Easter to you as well.
