As we attempt to patiently wait for our next Disney adventure I'm trying to pass the time by getting our last couple of Disney visits documented here on the DIS. I just finished our latest visit to Disney in CA. You can find a link to that down in my signature. Next I'd like to post the Disney portions of our last Spring Break Cruise.

We began our trip with a couple of days in NYC where we took in Mary Poppins on Broadway. Such a treat!

This is my little boy, Reagan! He's turning out to be quite the Disney fan just like Mommy!
ry%3D480

And the two of us. I'm Brenda by the way....
ry%3D480

It was very exciting to be sharing a show together in NYC!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We saw Mary Poppins at the Amsterdam Theatre...
ry%3D480

The show was, of course, AMAZING!
I didn't take any pics in the theatre but I had saved a few online while I was researching the trip that I'll share...

ry%3D480

We picked out a few souvenirs...
ry%3D480

Following the show we had dinner and ice cream before returning to our hotel. The next morning we were getting on the Norweigan Gem for a spring break cruise! One of our stops was Port Canaveral where we hopped over to Magic Kingdom for the day.

Dinner was at Applebees. I believe we were on 48th?..
ry%3D480

The ice cream was from Cold Stone Creamery. Yum!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Pardon the boy on the busy NYC sidewalk while he eats his ice cream!
ry%3D480

There was a Hello Kitty Store nearby which is another love of mine. As a teenager my first real job was at the Hello Kitty store!
ry%3D480

We stayed at a boutique hotel which was named the Gem just like our ship. Although I had visited the city a handful of times this was the first hotel stay in the city so that felt like a treat!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

NYC hotel rooms tend to be on the smaller side. We were acclimating to tiny spaces while we prepared for the cruise stateroom....
ry%3D480

Reagan set up a great window seat play area!
ry%3D480

I'll pick up with some cruising in the next entry followed by our Magic Kingdom fun!

It was a quick ride from the hotel to the port where we boarded NCL's Gem for our Spring Break cruise!

Ship pic and room pic courtesy of NCL's website...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We had lunch in the main dinning room once on board.
ry%3D480

Reagan felt special to have his very own key card!
ry%3D480

We spent a bit of time exploring the ship. Reagan was excited to pictures of the Statue of Liberty during sail away from NYC. He had his camera ready!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

It was soon time for the sail away show. NCL has a partnership with Nickelodeon. And we had our first taste of that relationship during the sail away show.
ry%3D480

Before long we were sailing past the Statue of Liberty...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We enjoyed some of sail away in the ship's library....
ry%3D480

Dinner that first night was in the Italian restaurant on board...
ry%3D480

Reagan enjoyed some playtime in the room before bedtime....
ry%3D480

Next up Sea Day...pirate:

Reagan started his day with morning exercises with Dora!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

They also did a picture frame craft while with Dora...
ry%3D480

We moved on to a Lego party next!
ry%3D480

Lots of building fun!
ry%3D480

They knew how to keep the kids entertained. Next up - cupcake decorating!
ry%3D480

Quite the creation!
ry%3D480

yum!
ry%3D480

We met Sponge Bob and Patrick that afternoon...
ry%3D480

That evening there was a circus inspired show...
ry%3D480

Reagan was auditioning to join the circus, too...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

After the show he met a couple more circus performers...
ry%3D480

Our towel friend that evening was an elephant...
ry%3D480

The next morning began with a Character Breakfast called the Nickolodeon Pajama Jam....
ry%3D400

It's a NO SLEEP zone!
ry%3D480

They had quite a kid pleasing spread of food!
ry%3D480

Along with fun food carvings!
ry%3D480

There was a chance to meet all the Characters in their PJs...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Patrick's PJs were my favorite!
ry%3D480

Dora and Diego...
ry%3D480

Sandy!
ry%3D480

The party wrapped up with some fun dancing!
ry%3D480

Following the Pajama Jam it was time to get Reagan changed out of his PJs. We were just about to get off in Port Canaveral for our Disney day!

Reagan got changed out of his PJ party PJs and into clothes, sunblock and ears!
ry%3D480

We sat up on the pool deck while we waited for the ship to dock. We were so excited to go see Mickey!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Docked next to us was a Disney ship. I can't wait for our first DCL experience just 6 weeks from now!
ry%3D480

We had purchased excursion tickets through NCL that arranged our transportation back and forth to Disneyworld. It was a comfortable bus ride that took almost an hour. Before we knew it we were on a ferry boat that was taking us towards Cinderella's castle!

We rode the General Joe Potter...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Once we arrived in the Magic Kingdom Reagan was ready to review the map! An eager cast member was ready to greet Reagan though so the map had to wait a bit.
ry%3D480

He found a quiet spot on the Train Station steps to look over the map. I love how he always wants to start with a map review so I always try to capture a picture of it....
ry%3D480

A view of the castle from the Main Street train station...
ry%3D480

Looks like he's ready to present his plan!
ry%3D480

Since we were at the train station we decided to ride...
ry%3D480

We got off the train in Frontierland where we caught a bit of the parade...
Donald!
ry%3D480

Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket...
ry%3D480

Dopey!
ry%3D480

Snow White and her prince...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Bert and Mary...
ry%3D480

love them!
ry%3D480

The Queen of Hearts...
ry%3D480

Beauty and the Beast...
ry%3D480

After the parade it was time to figure out what we wanted to ride next....

We ended up choosing Pirates of the Caribbean...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

A few pictures from the queue...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I always love this ride. Reagan was uneasy about riding it on our last Disney trip in CA but I think he's past that and we'll be ready to ride again when we visit 6 weeks from now...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I tried to capture as many details as I could for the scrapbook. Those pages hold us over in between our Disney vacations...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We spent a bit of time in the store following the ride...
ry%3D480

He got this VERY cool souvenir!
ry%3D480

I have the Hook costume for him to wear on Pirate Night on our upcoming cruise. That hook is the perfect accessory!

An adorable Pirate Mickey!
ry%3D480

One last look back! What a fun adventure!
ry%3D480

We decided on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin next. This was Reagan's first time to ride it....
ry%3D480

I really like the themeing in this Agrabah nook...
ry%3D480

The camels are the best!
ry%3D480

The views from our flying carpet...
ry%3D480

I'd like 3 wishes please!
ry%3D480

Coming up... the treehouse

I've read several trip reports where people just aren't crazy about the Swiss Family Robinson Tree house. I still adore it. I grew up in CA with Disneyland's Swiss Family Tree house. It's Tarzan themed now. We've been to Disneyland Hong Kong and that Tree house is Tarzan themed also. It gives me warm fuzzies to know the WDW tree house has my old favorite.... Swiss Family Robinson. That reminds me that I want to try to watch the movie with Reagan before our next trip.

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I love to soak up all the details!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Their island kitchen...
ry%3D480

A room in the tree house...
ry%3D480

A view of the castle and Space Mountain from the tree house...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

And the sign that hangs along side the kitchen...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

On our way out of Adventureland at the Dole Whip stand we got a scoop of pineapple ice cream to share...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Next up... Fantasyland!

A view of the castle is always such a treat!
ry%3D480

On our way by we visited Cinderella's fountain...
ry%3D480

Reagan is a big fan of the Philharmagic so that was our next stop..
ry%3D480

Because we can't get enough cruising we couldn't pass up The Happiest Cruise that Ever Sailed!
ry%3D480

This is another one of those rides where I love to capture all the details to tuck safely into the scrapbook....

ry%3D480

I think the vines growing over Sir Mickeys are very neat!
ry%3D480

Never pass up a chance to take a picture of the castle...
ry%3D480

My sweet boy near the Alice topiaries and tea party...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Soaking up the Alice area....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Tomorrowland.... up next!

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is always a must for us! It's a favorite for sure....
ry%3D480

We enjoyed taking in the details of the queue...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

And after a short time it was our time to climb aboard...
ry%3D480

Reagan was ready!
ry%3D480

I love the battery pack in the back! Such a great Disney detail!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

The castle view from Tomorrowland Terrace is the best!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

It was time for us to start to head back to the TTC center where our bus back to the ship would be waiting for us. We made our way down Main Street...
ry%3D480

We decided a treat for the ride back was a must...
ry%3D480

The Confectionary is such an adorable stop!
ry%3D480

Saint Patrick's Day was approaching and Reagan chose a rice crispy treat..
ry%3D480

We were excited to ride the monorail back to the TTC. The cast member there gave Reagan a monorail sticker and pin. It was a magical way to wrap up our Disney day.
ry%3D480

We had an uneventful trip back to the ship and were greeted with this friend upon returning to our stateroom....
ry%3D480

Tomorrow is another full day! Atlantis in the Bahamas!

Here's the King of the Sandcastle as we approached Nassau, Bahamas...
ry%3D480

Looking quite cool and ready to get off the boat...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We had the afternoon and then the next day on Nassau. We took a short horse drawn carriage tour on our first afternoon and visited the straw market. The following day was our Atlantis day...

In the carriage and ready for the tour....
ry%3D480

Our horse and driver...
ry%3D480

When I was about 13 years old we spent 10 days in Nassau and I remember the Benetton clothing store being my favorite.
ry%3D480

Reagan made a couple of purchases in the straw market...
ry%3D480

At dinner that evening in Cagney's Steakhouse Reagan was given a very special dessert...
ry%3D480

That night the cutest towel animal greeted us. It was an itty bitty mouse!
ry%3D480

The next morning during breakfast on the stern Reagan was quite excited about the birds!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Being cool by the pool and in the pool!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Reagan getting a good look at the ship...
ry%3D480

Up next.... Atlantis...

We arrived at Atlantis and were given a map. You know what that means! Reagan needs to study the map and make a plan. We came over with a group from the ship on excursion. I'm always courteous of Reagan's need to have a moment with his map but this group was on the move. Reagan did his best to study the map while keeping up with the group.
ry%3D480

After looking forward to visiting this resort for quite some time it felt so good to be there with such a close view of this! *love*
ry%3D480

We started our day with some time on the beach. There was a lagoon area that was perfect for Reagan.
ry%3D480

The views were perfect!
ry%3D480

I took Reagan to the little shop on the beach where he picked out a few goodies...
ry%3D480

This Nemo ring was one of his picks...
ry%3D480

He found a treasure in the sea....
ry%3D480

A bit of a passing storm came through so we decided it was a perfect time to explore The Dig.
ry%3D480

It's a system of aquariums that is pretty impressive!
ry%3D480

Some of the tanks are like works of art...
ry%3D480

It's Marlin and Nemo!
ry%3D480

We looked around in The Dig's giftshop and Reagan picked out an Atlantis Lego set souvenir.
ry%3D480

It was a really cool experience and I do recommend this on Nassau days.
ry%3D480

There were several pieces of Chuhilly glass artwork on display in the hotel and casino that I enjoyed.
ry%3D480

The rain had passed and we decided to take a walk around the outside of the resort. There were several sting ray pools around the resort...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

A very cool rope bridge...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Following our walk we had more time for the beach! My favorite!
ry%3D480

Which gave Reagan some more time to enjoy his boats, pail and shovel from the beach store....
ry%3D480

We loved our day at Atlantis!
ry%3D480

Eventually it was time to return to the ship. We enjoyed some pool time once there.
ry%3D480

There isn't much better than watermelon poolside while on a fun vacation!
ry%3D480

We had a nice surprise delivered to our stateroom! Chocolate covered strawberries and a chocolate swan. This was a gift for being previous cruisers with NCL...
ry%3D480

Here's our towel friend that evening....
ry%3D480

A bit more from our time on the ship in the next entry....

Once we were showered and changes after our Atlantis and pool time we headed out for the evening...
ry%3D480

Our dinner reservation was at the Italian restaurant on board...
ry%3D480

Reagan has always been a good traveler and finds little ways to entertain himself during the waits while dinning. He's looking pretty cozy in the window seat next to our table.
ry%3D480

Reagan had also made plans to meet a friend from by the pool at the Family White Hot party this evening. They showed off their dance moves...
ry%3D480

Our last day on board was a sea day. We started with a yummy breakfast!
ry%3D480

One thing still on our cruise "to do" list was bowling! This was our first time to be on a ship with a bowling alley. This also happened to be Reagan's first time to bowl ever. I love that his first time was at sea!

ry%3D480

It was hard to get clear shots in this dark area but you'll get the idea...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Gotta love bowling shoes!
ry%3D480

We had been hoping for some time poolside this day but as we headed back towards NYC it really wasn't quite warm enough. We enjoyed a walk around the ship....
ry%3D480

Taking in the aft wake is always relaxing!
ry%3D480

Reagan made quite the balloon hat creation with a member of the entertainment team...
ry%3D480

On our last night we had dinner at Teppanyaki which is a Japanese hibachi type restaurant...
ry%3D480

The chefs always put on a fun, creative show...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Reagan was cracking up over some dragon joke the chef made with the egg he was cooking....
ry%3D480

Trying chopsticks...
ry%3D480

Following dinner we watched a pianist down below the restaurant for a bit. Reagan has been playing the piano since he turned 4 so its good for him to see this type of performance.
ry%3D480

There were more towel friends back in the room....
ry%3D480

We wrapped up our last night with a really fun pillow fight!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Although we had a ton of fun this trip I still remember the pillow fights as some of our most fun memories. Sometimes it is just the simple things.

ry%3D480

The next morning it was time to get off the boat. We had a bit of a wait before disembarking. The same member of the entertainment crew who worked on Reagan's balloon hat the day before spent some more time with him in the art gallery. They added even more to his balloon extravaganza. This crew member was from Australia and was incredibly great with Reagan.
ry%3D480

This wraps up this trip report. It was a quick one. I have another quick one I'd like to share from our time at Disneyland in Hong Kong. I plan to work on that next.

I know I commented earlier, but just wanted to say I enjoyed this TR! really interested to read your TR for Disney Hong Kong!:thumbsup2
