I'm thinking about going down to WDW during the last week of April. Last year I went during this time and hit a wall of New York spring breakers taking their time LATE given the way Easter fell last year. What's everyone's break week looking like this year....especially in the New York / Long Island type area.

Thanks for your input guys. This will help us all gauge crowd levels during the Spring.

Check out the Trapped on Vacation podcast for soundseeing tours of the Disney parks and more. I provide a lot of audio for it (mostly Disneyland). They are just MP3 files, so they can be downloaded and listened to my anyone. You don't have to have an IPod to listen.

There was a poll on the Community Board on this subject, and when I asked recently they pulled it up. The answers seemed to be centered mainly before and after Easter this year.

My kids are 20-24 March (Tampa area), and we are going to the World. So I'm hoping that crowds aren't too bad.

Thanks for the update. I'll check out the poll. To make things easier, if people feel like sounding off here on this thread about their public school breaks, SPEAK UP PEOPLE = )

Our spring break for West Texas is March 13-17. We are going to WDW that week. Our son's high school band is also going and will be marching in the parade. I expect it to be crowded, but I am hoping that it will be manageable.

Feb 15 thru April 23 is considered PEAK season for WDW. I am not going near WDW until after Easter. So the entire month of March and April will be busy.

We'll be there for our break, 4/8 - 4/16...crowded yes, but we'll have a BLAST!

April 14-23. Starts on Good Friday. Wouldn't want to be there that week. Went last year April 16-23 for Spring Break which wasnt around Easter and I thought it was pretty crowded, expecially our AK day.

I've gone thru all the polls and read all the threads I can find and it looks like March thru April 23rd is going to be VERY busy. April 24 thru the end of May should be a good bet. It starts to get quite warm in mid May though.

I am thinking of the last week of April or the first week of May...just gotta watch for those grad nights (April 28-29, May 5-6). The parks were a bit messy after last year's grad nights. There was a nice "chewed gum tree" in the Splash Mt. queue and trash thrown onto the ride scenes as well. Ick :)

Here in GA I think the whole state is out April 3-7, plus the two weekends. Guess where we'll be April 3-7? Although Spring Break IS crowded, WDW is do-able if you stay onsite and take advantage of the perks that offers you like transportation, EMH, etc. That and hopping are our favorite things.

Where I live the kids are out March 20-24. I'm taking my son out of school the 16 and 17th. We'll be at the Pop 17-23.

Our Oregon public schools have spring break the last week of March.
We'll be at WDW from March 24 to April 7. I expect it to be crowded, but hopefully it will be manageable.

In 2005, with Easter in March, almost all the schools had spring break around the same time. This year, it looks like the breaks will be more divided between March and April. So hopefully crowd levels will be a little lower for both the March and April visitors. That's my theory anyway. :)

as previously stated our Spring Break is the week of April 3-7th. We are going 4-1 through 4-7 anyway. :thumbsup2

Hopefully it won't be too bad. That week is also DS's 10th b-day and he wanted to go for that. We had been scheduled to go on their winter break which is Feb 20-24. Aren't they ever in school anymore? :teacher: :rolleyes1

See ya there.....

Orange County (FL) spring break is March 13th - 19th

My Dsis is bringing my great nephew for his first trip to WDW Easter week---- what was she thinking? He is in kindergarten and could have been taken out of school no problem:teacher:!!!! She complained about the airfare being so high - well no dah:rolleyes:! I love my sister dearly, but this was not her best laid plan!!

I will :welcome:them with open arms, sprinkle some pixie dustpixiedust: , endure the crowds:crowded: for the sake of the child , will probably come home with a headache.... :headache:, too bad I'm the driver :car:or I could :drinking:to deal! (Not really just kidding - those days are over - that would give me a worse :headache:headache:)

I am excited to get to see WDW through the eyes of a 6 year old that has never been anywhere.... it will be a trip of many firsts!!! :mickeyjum :donald: :goofy: :figment: First stop Chef Mickey's for breakfast!!!

I think my migraine meds have gotten to me!!!!

We're going April 2-9. In my area, Spring Break is the week before Easter. I read that it will be crowded but I think we can handle it. It's not like we're going on Christmas or New Years. Anything is do-able if you plan your time wisely. Especially while staying on-site, take advantage of the privileges given. :surfweb:

My kids dont have spring break. They go to year round school. They start a few days after the 4th of July. Go for 9 weeks and then off for 3 weeks. Cycle repeats itself. My kids have 3 weeks off in September, all of December, 3 weeks in March and 3 weeks in June off.

If the wife and I had more vacation time and money, we would another trip to Disney.

:wave2:

Mine is March 24th - April 2nd (I go to SUNY @ Fredonia) and most of the SUNY colleges are pretty close to the same dates usually.

Now the local schools (WNY) in my area are April 14th - April 23rd.

We're in GA and we'll be out the last week of March 27-31. We'll be there at that time too and while I hope it's not going to be swamped, I'll plan to get to the parks early.
