Decided to do a last minute trip during Spring Break. Since airfare from NY is OUTRAGEOUS or non-existent at this point, we will be driving for the first time with our 6 and 4 year old.....
Anyway, called for a studio last week and got a Standard View at Jambo for 4 nights..... When we really sat down to plan the trip, we realized we would need another night at our hotel...called to add another night on and it was possible!!!
I am thinking, is this Spring Break Pixie Dust OR is something up with Jambo House??
Also my kids LOVE community hall at BLT----is it a long walk from Jambo to Kidani community hall?
Thanks in advance for any Jambo input...

My wife and I stayed at Kidani last May and we really enjoyed both Kidani and Jambo House. We stayed on the side closest to Jambo house so the walk was no more than 5 minutes between the 2 properties. The walk from Jambo lobby to the main lobby area of Kidani, however, is probably a good 10-15 minute walk.

We do not have kids and didn't get to experience any of the children's activities but it seemed to me that more was going on at Jambo house for children than at Kidani. Maybe this was just my perception, but it seemed that there was more to do and explore at Jambo. Someone correct me if I'm wrong... ;-) There are also more dining options at Jambo house than at Kidani. Kidani, on the other hand, was much quieter and relaxing than the feel at Jambo House. In my opinion you can't go wrong at either Kidani or Jambo!

It seems to me that there were plenty of activities with youngsters in the lobby of Jambo.

We enjoyed our stay at Jambo stay last summer. We chose Jambo b/c we knew the standard view was a pool view.

Our kids (6 and 8) really enjoyed that activities. They decorated cookies at Boma (free daily ... they were big cookies and the decorations were gummy bears, M & M's, etc.) and participated in several of the bead activities. The pool is very large with zero entry, a slide, and there were pool side games. There is a nice, somewhat secluded playground near the pool that your kids might enjoy as well. We loved to look out at the pool every day ... so pretty. We found plenty of animal viewing opportunities, so didn't really miss a savannah view.

My kids enjoyed the community hall when we stayed at BWV and OKW ... but they didn't even ask about it at Jambo.

I would not hesitate to stay at Jambo again.

My kids, 14, 12, 9, 9, prefer Kidani for the community hall and the pool. We love they can just hang out there for an hour or two. I would put in a request for a room closest to Kidani.

we prefer Jambo house with kids. We just like the bigger lobby and pool over at Jambo. Also, Mara is at Jambo and I like popping down for breakfast. There are a number of kids activities at Jambo during the day--all of the scheduled activities we did the week of Christmas were actually at Jambo. They have a courtesy shuttle van at the valet area (not where the buses are) that runs between the 2 all day--it is not advertised--you just ask. We went over to Kidani kids club for a few hours several times via the shuttle. Coming back, you can take the shuttle or get on any WDW bus and it stops at Jambo (except DTD--it does the reverse). The pool is also MUCH less crowded at Jambo during peak times--I think that is b/c many at Kidani are DVC owners and don't go into the parks everyday. We had both Kidani and Jambo rooms last Easter for a big family trip---we had a hard time getting chairs over at Kidani, even at 3 PM, but there were a number over at Jambo. Also, standard view at Jambo is pool view--at Kidani very likely parking lot. We decided we will always pick Jambo in the future.
