We are thinking about taking the our dd's (7 and 17 months) away during spring break. I have considered Great Wolf Lodge in PA, the Trapp Family Lodge in Vermont, maybe a trip to Boston. I just don't know where to go or what to do. All I do know is that I don't want our destination to be more than a 4 or 5 hour drive from South Jersey. We can go anywhere North, South, East, West. Does anyone have any favorite places they would recommend or any websites that would give me some ideas. Thanks so much!!!

Boston would get my vote. So much to see and do, so much history, Quincy Market, great food in the North End, the Aquarium, the Freedom Trail, the USS Constitution. You could make a daytrip about 1/2 hour north to Salem and do the whole witch hunt thing.

Boston would be my pick. However, if you're planning on visiting Boston during Easter week, remember that Massachusetts celebrates Patriot's Day. Patriot's Day, this year, is the day after Easter and it's also the day of the Boston Marathon. The city is packed with tourists. Things settle down a little on Tuesday. :)

I know this doesn't count as Northeast, but we're taking the kids to Washington DC for spring break. We're going to try to do the White House Easter Egg Roll. You're not too far away from there that's why I mention it.

If you end up on the Cape, the Cape Codder in Hyannis has an indoor wave pool and slides. They are not big, but your young children would like them!

Friends of mine just got back from the Great Wolfe Lodge in the Poconos. They really enjoyed it and LOVED the indoor water park. Very nice and clean. They have a spa too! It looks like a nice getaway and close to South Jersey. Good luck with your decision! :sunny:
