Please help! I am dying to go to DLR again but, we usually go in May or September when the crowds are light and the weather warm and sunny.

I went 17 years without going before I started visiting again because we had gone in July when I was 14 and it was miserable because of the crowds. I vowed I would never go back. Well, I grew up and had kids and wanted them to experience the Magic, so I jumped a few years back and went in May when everyone said it would be less crowded. It was and I fell in love with the DL again. We have since visited many times and twice to WDW. I am a disney park diehard.

Here is my problem, this year due to me having surgery (minor with long recovery) I have to be off work and the only time we could really go is after I recover a bit and right before I return to work. This puts us into the Spring Break season. March 23-30 is when we would have to go.

Will it be busy like I remember from July???? I don't want to hate it again and skip 17 more years. I know that part is my attitude, but I really have the low crowd syndrome. Has anyone been there in past years during this week? how busy is busy for spring break, wait times etc. would be helpful for me to gage the crowds.

Thanks again-

Thanks Hydroguy- I will check it out! is there information on spacific weeks and crowd level?

But, I am crowd phobic. I will not go in the summer, as I said in the original post, I know it is about my attitude, and my attitude is I don't do crowds.

Please someone who has been during this time give me some idea how crowded is crowded.

I was there during that week last year - and we didn't think the crouds were bad at all. Of course - it was a pretty rainy week. One of my funniest memories is standing in line waiting for DL to open for the day, and noticing that everyone around us was wearing an article of clothing that said "Oregon" on it - except one family, we asked, and they were from Canada! I'm a teacher, so I've never been able to go off season, but I found it very pleasant last March! (We thought about going that week again this year, but it's cheaper at the beginning of June, right after school gets out.)

In the Summer link above there is a link to this graph which shows numerical crowd levels throughout the year:

I do not think there is any info on specific weaks around Spring Break. As you know, Spring Break weeks tend to vary in California as well as elsewhere. Late March and early April is the heart of Spring Break. Most people say Spring Break crowds are comparable to summer. Crowds really built year round during the 50th celebration, and have been decreasing somewhat over the last year from what they were. But crowds have been real hit or miss, as people expected low crowds in Sept or Oct last year, but things were reported to be busier than expected. So in answer to your question you should expect the week of March 23 to be similar to July.

Again, stick with weekdays as much as possible, and be prepared with the info from this forum including things like my summer touring advice. If it ends up not being quite so crowded, count yourself lucky. But expect it to be like July.
