Spring Break Crowds?

I would love to be able to do a trip for my Birthday in March. However, I have heard that Spring Break crowds are CRAZY! I was just wondering if anyone could offer insight into how bad the crowds are (my previous trips were end of March 2014 and beginning of April 2013; so I think I missed the Spring Break crowds then? [By luck honestly] and then this end of Sept/beginning of Oct). So I have no way to gauge what "big crowds" look like?

I would be looking to go for my birthday week March 23 2015. I have always wanted to be in Disney on my actual birthday and this is my 25th! Which is big (to us 20 somethings at least):rotfl2:

It would just be adults on the trip and trying to decide if it's worth it, or I should just push it off until mid/end of April?

All advice is appreciated!!::yes::

What specific dates are you looking at? I just looked at the EasyWDW crowd calendar for March 2015 and the last week has 7/8/9 crowd days, which is busy. Crowds will continue to rise until almost mid-April when most spring breaks will have ended, and drops the number to a much more manageable 5/10. It will be busy; not Christmas busy, but busy. A good plan and smart FP+ selections will make a birthday trip more than doable, though.

My dates would be March 23-30. My birthday is the 26th! I'm curious how it would compare to my recent Sept trip (lines for stuff was listed 30 min and up for most things and 45+ minutes for Headliners) Probably a silly question because Sept is listed as "low crowd" Yikes.:scared1:

You answered your own question. Late September crowds are some of the lowest of the year. The week you are looking at will be very crowded in comparision. You are looking at headliner lines of 60 - 80 - 90 minutes.
But with a good plan, and correct expectations it is doable. But it will be a totally different experience.

True but when I went end of March this year it was spring break time but I don't remember it being overly crowded (I was able to do everything I wanted)? That's why I'm asking. It's hard to visualize when you haven't experienced it? I don't know if that was because I wasn't there during "peak spring break" time :rolleyes:
Is it hard to walk there are so many people during "peak" Spring Break? Is there a 30 minute wait for COP (HAHA:rolleyes:) Just trying to get a feel if I would be upset I hadn't pushed it back.
I mean how different is a crowd level of 6 (April) to a 7/8 (March)
Thanks for all your advice!

We went this past March (24-30) and the crowds (especially MK) were INSANE. It was our first trip taking the kids and it was wall to wall people on Wednesday, the 26th, at MK. It felt like a cattle herd. I personally will never go at that time again!

We went two Spring Breaks in a row. Roughly, second week of March. While we enjoy lower crowds of May and October, we would not hesitate to go again during Spring Break. The weather was awesome and Flower and Garden happens during this time. We rope dropped all of the parks and utilized fast pass. While it could get crowded in some of the walkways, especially during the fireworks, we felt it was manageable.
