We are planning a trip to WDW week of March 26, 2005. I'm assuming this will right during spring break. How are the crowds at that time? Are the summer Crowds worse? If you had to choose a crowded time to go, when is the best time you would choose?? How do you handle the crowds?:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

In my limited experience spring break crowds are kind of heavier but different. Most people are there for the week and won't knock you over if they think you're in their way. That also means they don't rush to the parks early. And the weather is so much nicer. We would have gone this spring, but I teach in one district and my kids are in another. We had different spring breaks.

Going in July I hope the 7 for 5 deal has a calming effect.

My fiance and I have been there twice in the recent past, and once was at the end of June and the other time was in the middle of July. On both trips we had a great time and we never felt like it was crowded at any of the parks there. Our longest wait in line was 20 minutes for Space Mountain on the Saturday when we were there, asides from that wait our longest wait was only 10 minutes long! And we hit the rides like thunder mountain railroad, splash mountain, alien encounter, tower of terror, any coaster or thrill ride you can think of, and the tours as well. So we basically hit the long wait rides and got lucky that not a lot of people were there for the weeks when we were there.

So its kind of hit and miss. I have been to Disney 11 times in my life, 9 with my parents and sister and we used to go during spring break and I remember big crowds and long waits. I think you just need to decide what time works best with your budget and schedule and cross your fingers!

Hi Op, i just booked a last minute for July, Spring break was a nightmare but have never been in the summer.

I am however very interested in what the 5 for 7 deal is, Thanks

We went for Easter this year.. Our strategy worked like a charm..

Get up early, and open the parks
Use Fast Pass
Use singles lines
Go back to our hotel around noon
Swim
Eat Lunch
Nap
Do EPCOT most evenings... We we able to walk on most anything and only had to wait about 15 min in the singles line for test track and Mission space.

We rarely waited for anything even though there were lines. The moring we opened the MK we rode everything in Fantasyland with dd 2.5 just by walking on... Somethings we rode twice...

If you have a good plan you can have a wonderful time during the spring break period!

We went last June and then again this April - there were crowds both trips but the parks were do-able with the use of fast-pass. The Magic Kingdom will ALWAYS be more crowded since that's the park most folks want to see.

BUT...the biggest difference for us was the weather. April was absolutely beautiful with blue skies, sunshine and 80's all week with low humidity and not a drop of rain.

June...on the other hand...rainy, rainy, rainy, very hot and very humid. I can only imagine what it's like in July & August. For us it made it tough to get around. If the heat doesn't bother you then you should be fine.

Thanks for the tips. It's pretty much all planned that we will be traveling for Easter. Just have to come up with a good plan like you said!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
