Spring Break (4/3)

Hi everyone!

It's been way too long since DD and I have been to Disney! We'll be on site, staying at AsM from 4/2-4/5. There are 3 of us: myself- 33, my boyfriend-35 & DD-10 (who doesn't know we're going yet!)

It'll just be us until late Friday night when my brother and his wife arrive. I know the crowds will be pretty busy since it's Spring Break and Easter is 4/5. As of right now, I have Friday scheduled for AK for the 3 of us. Having breakfast at Tuskar House and dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Just waiting to do Fast Passes! Want to also check out Yak & Yeti Quick Service and definitely stop by Tamu Tamu for a dole whip with rum!

Looking at the crowd calendar, looks like AK will be the least crowded (Is it?) but I'm totally having second thoughts on staying with AK and changing to go to DHS or Epcot. We're doing MK Saturday with my brother. I love Epcot but I also know that Flower and Garden is going on while we're there.

ETA: We do have Magic Maker - Does AK have enough around the park to take pictures?

So, what do you DIS'ers say? Stick with AK or change to another park? If we change parks, is the dole whip with rum available at the other parks?

4/2 - Check-In Day! & Downtown Disney
Would like to do Characters in Flight if not too windy
Dinner - WPE or Earl of Sandwich (QS1)
Goofy's Candy Co (SC1)

4/3 - AK
8:40 - Tuskar House (TS1)
Lunch - Yak & Yeti (QS2)
7pm - 1900 Park Fare (TS2)

4/4 - MK
8:25 - Crystal Palace (TS3)
Wishes Fireworks (constantly checking for a dessert party opening!)

4/5 - Check-Out
Whispering Canyon Cafe (OOP)

You won't find Dole Whips with rum in MK. MK does not serve rum anywhere onsite.

A few thoughts:

- "pretty busy" probably isn't the best way to put it. That's Easter weekend...prepare for Very busy. Be sure to get your desired FP's as soon as you are able.

- Is DD 10 going to be OK with not getting to MK until the third day?

- I'm torn on switching out AK vs. Epcot. Since your time is constrained, I wouldn't bother with DHS with all the closures, etc. If AK is really quieter that day, I'd be inclined to stick with it...but, I do recommend Epcot and the Flower and Garden festival. While Epcot isn't ride intensive beyond Soarin and TT, it is fun looking at F&G.

- I already have it on my calendar to do my FP's between 12-1am on 2/1 along with a list for both parks.

- DD doesn't know yet, so she'll be psyched that we're even going! I'm not sure if I'm telling her before I do FP's yet, either way, she'll be fine with doing MK with my brother and his wife.

- Crossing DHS off the list for this time. Thanks! I guess I'll stick with AK this time around and plan another trip to do Epcot for a couple days. I would really like to do Food & Wine at some point too!
