Spring break 2018 and staying offsite- will we get a fastpass??

My husband and I are taking our 11yr daughter and 7yr old son the first week of April (spring break) and we are staying offsite. I'm really nervous that we will not secure the fp's that we want. Am I being paranoid? We are doing only 3 days- MK, AK, EP and of course we want to hopefully get to do the big rides since we only have one day at each park. I thought about securing at least a one night stay at a value resort onsite to get 60 day fp for at least two park days but my husband thinks I am crazy. I'd really like to use that money elsewhere myself since we may want to visit universal or somewhere else. Do you think we have a good chance and the popular attractions?? We did MK last year so they are familiar with that park but AK and EP will be brand new. Thank you

Seven Dwarfs, the two pandora rides, Test Track, Frozen Ever After, and possibly Soarin' are the ones that might be difficult for you to get at 30 days during Spring Break. If you can't get them right at 30 days, keep trying, you might get lucky and snag them right up until the last minute, or you might not. Most other FP should be available at 30 days. Even if you don't get the FP for what you most want, a rope drop plan and a little bit of luck should get you on those rides anyway.
