Spring Break 2012

When is everyone's spring break for 2012? We're planning a trip for the flower and garden fest. We were thinking March. How does that line up with the busy time? I know Easter is Apr 8th, but we're planning th middle of March. Just curious on what we cane expect. Anyone on spring break that early?

Spring Break for us begins March 26th (Northern Indiana). We will arrive at WDW on the 24th!!

2012 will be our 4th straight Spring Break trip.

Going by historical trends, the peak SB week will be the week of March 26. Several big states/ school districts have this week. The two following weeks (before and after Easter) will be close behind with very high weekend crowds. Our week (week of March 19) will be 4th with a noticeable difference from the top 3. Anything earlier in March will be much less crowded.

Spring Break actually lasts about 6+ weeks beginning in mid/late-February.

That is true the "Spring Break season" is 6+weeks. However, if you look at the statistics that are occasionally available, the Feb. and early March weeks have less than half the number of schools on break compared to the last week of March and the weeks surrounding Easter.

Ours begins April 6th! We will be on a 7 night Disney cruise! Woo hoo!

Northeastern states take their spring breaks in April.
2012 Massachusetts, Rhode Island dates are April 16-20

Can anyone tell me when Connecticut has their break?
